Gundam Battle Assault 2 is a very fun Mech-based fighter and does the Gundam franchise well. I found Battle Assault 2 a very entertaining title and that it successfully captured the vibe of the Gundam Universe while integrating a Guilty Gear-esque gameplay style. The graphics are fairly good, but still feel a little outdated on the PS1 hardware. The controls are great and it is a ton of fun to play. I found the storymode kind of lackluster and very frustrating due to ridiculous enemies, but it was still a great experience. Overall, Battle Assault 2 is a great fighter and one of the few good Gundam games out there.

    It's pretty sad when one of the best Gundam games is 6 years old.
