Oh god no. Gunbound is another korean-made plot to pull cash out of your trousers, and it gets frustrating VERY fast...!

User Rating: 3.4 | GunBound PC
First review on GameFaq's. I don't think advertising is legal, but know that I have more reviews at , ahem, a certain site >.>.

Graphics. Actually, it's pretty well animated and fluent. Albeit...cartoony. Perhaps TOO cartoony. Although no, bloody violence wouldn't have suited this game either...umm...yeah. 8/10 here, nothing much to say.

Sounds. Oh they got THOSE right. The music gets kind of annoying after you hear it for the X thousandth time buuuuut >.> we know most of the developers don't mean for it to be fun or anything XD. I'm sort of biased on this so I think I'll default and give a 5 to be fair.

Controls. Pretty average, and they let you choose out of various ways to shoot, so this isn't really an issue here. 9 out of ten.

Stability. Okay, THIS is where Gunbound also kicks the bucket. The first few times , before they added that other weird game, Gunbound did weird things to my PC many times. It would spontaneously tell other programs to "HAHA I NEED MEMORY GO AWAY" and close then. Now, AFTER they added that game, and I started Gunbound, it would quite simply freeze at whatever point it wanted to. I keep my system clean and held hard by the balls, so I know it ain't my fault. tt's basically riddled with tons of bugs. Big fat zero here, chunky.

Point of the game ("originality") : Worms. online. With cars. And Korean people. I find it oddly strange that you have to buy certain items that wear off after a while. Hmm sure seems like another eastern plot to take cash out of a western pocket ;_;. Don't look at me like that, we know games like that exist. Ragnarok Online, Mu online for instance. You pay to play whereas leveling takes a ridicilously long time, but you pay for it cuz it's addicting . (Yes, I'm aware Mu online doesn't need you to play, but actually after past a level, you HAVE to). I do have to give credit for the many weapons and shot types though. 2 points >.>.

Replayability : Umm, seriously, after 20 hours, only kids, addicts, or stoned people can like this game. The infinitely looping kiddie-grade songs, the wave after wave after wave of spanish people asking you stuff you have no idea about, up to the classic problem online of people quite simply BEING UNABLE TO SPELL RIGHT, Gunbound is basically a rushed moneymaking attempt with lots of bugs, and that odd addicting glare that would make it compelling, slightly broken. Two points.

This is not an average, this is my overall score below.
Note that in my eyes, a game is meant for a person home after a long day at work who wants to unwind by doing something he wouldn'T otherwise be able to. Such as sneak into a nuclear launching facility (Metal gear), use demons to fight dark gods (Persona) and so on.

Gunbound fails to provide a truly satisfying experience for 3 main reasons. If you can look past the glaring bugs, people who are more "pro" than you can simply outdo you with better items. Or quite simply, since nothing is impenetrable on the internet, cheat. Lots of people say LOL NO GAMEGUARD but, don'T forget, the PC, everything electronic is just a sequence of 0s and 1s, ultimately. People have a brain to decipher code with, so there will always be loohopes.

Thus, I have to give this game a 1.75 in score, slightly higher than my rating for it. You can go ahead and try it, and you might even like it for a while. but you will soon realize there is no point.
