There are many reviews that have called Gun underwhelming. And truthfully, it is in some ways. It's not a stellar looking game on the XBOX 360; in fact, the graphics on the original XBOX look almost exactly the same. It is also a tad too easy on normal setting (until the final boss fight which is surprisingly vicious and difficult). It is also more brief than its price should dictate. But you'll likely play it for 6 hours (if you only do the main storyline) and 8-12 if you include the array of available side missions (which actually do improve your stats but you have to do a large number of them to really see the skill difference). There are two standout points of this game - the score (which sounds very influenced by Dances with Wolves) and the voice acting - Thomas Jane, Kris Kristofferson, Ron Perlman, Brad Dourif, Tom Skerritt and Lance Henriksen make this one of the most strongly voice acted games in history...and the actors do sell it. Everything sounds cheesy (but authentic in a hollywoodized way) and stays true to the fun of the game. All in all it's a solid guilty pleasure that would be a nice bargain bin pickup if you're feeling like gettin' your inner cowboy on.
