This game should have been Guitar Hero 3's successor.....and the only sequel for 3-4 years

User Rating: 9 | Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock X360
Old-school classification for a reason....it is. Not only is 95% of the games setlist solo filled but its really enjoyable (the minorities are How You Remind Me). Even songs such as 'Losing My Religion' are fun to play as well as 'I Know What I Am'.

Some people say the game is too hard and doesnt not fit in the 'new comers allowed' category (I refer to the review given by IGN and a few friends). Don't listen to them because the several people I know who play on Easy / Medium enjoy the difficulty and say its nice to be challanged rather then have simpithy thrown at them for not being that good. For Expert players (as you see by my difficulty rating) its Very Hard.

I havent failed a song yet (yet to play Fury Of The Storm) but thats because im good, but I do know if something is hard and this game is very hard.

Quest Mode is a good addition as not only does it provide a new take on GH but it contains one of the greatest moments in GH since the final boss in GH3 or playing TTFATF in GH3....or GH3 in general. The Rush 2112 section is not only enjoyable as a story but provides brilliant short solos and awesome music (much better then what they attempted in GH4 with Tool). Overall Quest Mode is a good addition from the general Career.

The Perks are better then i thought too as they dont take too much from the core gameplay at times. The only main difference is that you dont average 5 stars a song you average 7. All you do is minus 2 from what you got to get your true score at times and if you do like them...then good, your open to change and a slight transfer from the COD series...after all, same company.

Overall a great addition to the GH series, just a shame it arrives at a time where people hate GH and the genre its in is too saturated. So the games its own enemy, a brilliant take on the series and a smart move to divert from the word 'BAND' to the word 'Guitar' to provide excellent core gameplay and enjoyment with the music. This game should have came after GH3...it has the right amount of changes to be AMAZING and THAT GAME! but unfortunately they want to bring out a game a month so we find ourselves at what looks like the last GOOD GH game.
