a great installment with a few setbacks
the number one way where GH WoR is improved is the story mode, herein called quest mode, where you play as iconic characters from the gh universe, to make them the warriors they are capable of being.
they need to transform into these warriors, so they can save the demigod of rock from his cold prison. this plays out really well, and the characters have to play a set of songs, which fit the spirit of the character very well. all narrated by Gene Simmons of Kiss, that, is the only wrong thing in quest mode, Gene does his best i'm sure, but still it is a bit jarring.
quickplay has been enhanced, to also include powers and alot of challenges, which help you earn more stars, so you rank up and unlock alot of cool gear :)
the Import feature... wow.. this is the biggest improvement for the party player, you import your old games, you can quickjump to said game in the songlist, if there is a song you and your band like to play on guitar hero greates hist for instance, you can jump to said game and find the song alot quicker.
the new guitar: well, it's a really cool piece of kit.
it does however feel shorter than the old ones, which makes my stance and hold of the guitar different, it could take some getting used to. also the strum bar is harder to push down, which makes alternate picking harder..
all in all an improvement, which is worth a purchase if you enjoy rythm games of any kind...
