charge £40 for songs most guitar hero fans will already have or can buy second hand at a fraction of the price, it borders on evil genius.

This is going to be a great game I can feel it in my bones:P

Well, I'm glad that the Guitar Hero band instruments work well with the rock band game. Not so much vice versa though. Haha. So you can play both games! Also, I think this is great for those who haven't bought a Guitar Hero band set yet. Playing 40 great songs versus 50 or so songs you've never heard of before in your entire life... I think it would be a great deal.

I just wonder how many of the songs from GH1 and 2 are still going to be covers of the songs made famous by the original band.

Geeze. GH is just ridiculous now. Just put the tracks up for download for crying out loud. They have flooded the market to the point of stupid.

Up to this point, GH and RB is just a matter of taste in music now. I don't consider it a traditional game anymore. I look at it as buying a new album. I'm only interested in playing songs that I like. None of this linear crap anymore where I have to play songs away from my taste.

I'm definily buying this one. Gh:1 and Gh:2 have the best songs, and now my chance to have the best songs in one game, plus, no turning console off just to play the music i want cause its in other cd, :D. Better be some Gh:80's songs...like Wrathchild, fu...ing Iron Maiden ownz metallica ass. Posers only know iron maiden cause of The Number of The Beast in Gh:3, or better yet Gh:posers. ;)

If they're going to keep dishing out ne Guitar Hero games all the time, they should just invest a lot of time into making one with like 120+ songs. Not these crappy ones with like 40 or 50.

I don't own any of the old games so i might as well get this one...

Obviously both rock band and guitar hero are making new games that should just be dlc. Both franchises are trying to make as much money as they can before guitar games get old. Even though I would like to see the songs from GH3 fully compatible with the drum set, making everyone pay $60 for a game with old songs on it isn't the answer.

I saw some good tunes from past Heros that Id like to play full band but really Id love it if they made all the previous GH's full band compatible. At least all of GH3.

Can they just stop making 2 many guitar heroes.They just released GHM a week ago now this,plus they're doing another GH for DS which is GH Modern Hits.I used to like GH but now it's gettin kinda old.

Wow why didn't Activision put all the good songs on 1 or 2 games...o that's right they wanted to milk this as much as they can.

If I was running the Guitar Hero franchise I would make all of these songs DLC. I"m sure they would sell better that way.
