ok. i admit it. i'm not sure if i really like this game
anyway, thank you for choosing to read my review! i appreciate it very much!
WARNING! EXTREMELY BID MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD!!!like, the plot of this game is that the God of Rock asks these people to perform at these concerts cuz he would give them some special snow globe looking thing if they did. when they perform at a concert, the god of rock takes the snow globe and runs away with it. you gots to go on tour to catch up with him. eventually, the people catch up to him. one of the people take the snow globe from him and the people also ripped off his disguise. he was really some director (the same director in the previous guitar hero games). the director runs away, and the people chase him. they get to some magical floating rock and they see the REAL god of rock locked up in a cage with his magical powers taken away. the people had to perform at another concert on the floating rock with the snow globe and they used the power of rock to get the god of rock's powers back and defeat the evil director. then, the people get into the rock and roll hall of fame and they live happily ever after. THE END!!!
the graphics in this game are, like, all messed up. like, some people in this game look like they were taken right out of guitar hero metallica, the game with the realistic graphics, and some people look like they were taken from guitar hero world tour, the game with 1st generation nintendo 64 graphics. so, the game has this weird mix of real looking people and people that look like they're made of plastic. some other things in this game are nicely made, like the guitars and other stuffs. but some other things look like there was no effort put into making them. like, the levels may have 2d fireworks going off in the sky. and all of those mountains and clouds in the background look like they were taken from Spyro the Dragon on the Playstation 1. i have 1 word to describe that: LAZY. but, at least most of the things in this game are nicely made.
the controls in this game are good. like, it's the same in every guitar hero game where you press the button and strum and blah blah blah blah blah. but, in this game, if you use the little touch strip thing to hit the purple hammer ons, the touch strip will stop responding after a few seconds, so, when you play this game, don't use the touch strip for the purple hammer ons. PLEASE USE THE FRET BUTTONS.
idk why, but everyone i know who wanted this game asked me what songs were in it, so i'll put some right here. there's Take It Off by The Donnas, Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce, Beast and the Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold, Free Bird by Lynard Skynard, Raining Blood by Slayer, and a jillion other songs that were put in the previous guitar hero games. sadly, there are no Metallica songs.
well, the sound quality in this game is just madd perfect and stuff, and, stuff. and like the sound effects are kinda annoying to hear while you're listening to the songs. like, i hate it when you hear a stupid pinging noise when you miss a note or when you hear a lightning bolt when you get star power, of even when you hear the audience scream when you're doing good on playing a song. don't you just wanna play the song and enjoy it without all the "AAAAHHH!!!!" and "PING!!!" and "BOOM!!!" stuff? cuz i wish i could...
do you remember how in guitar hero metallica (if you have played it before) there was a nice feature in the game where you can see the lyrics to the songs? yeah. wasn't that thing great? well, it wasn't included in this game for some reason. so, that's kind of a step backwards in the series. but at least they didn't take out one of the best things in the series: the Create A Rockstar mode!!! yeah. that feature better not be taken away in any of the next guitar hero games. if it was taken away, then the series wouldn't be the same. right? am i right? AM I ?!?!?!?!?
so, please buy this game right now. the story mode is very short, but it will keep you wanting to come back for more. and if you like pirates, buy this game right now!!! why? um, play until the end and you'll see! PLEASE RATE!!!!

The idea of playing previous guitar hero songs with full band support sounds awesome but sadly playing it is boring

- Arc and Ingus from Final Fantasy III on the DS play Guitar Hero. Rockin' out to "Carry On, Wayward Son." I just thought this would be fun. :DPosted Jul 12, 2007
