I was really looking forward to this game when it was announced because I did not own PS1 or PS2 (and the PS3 I own is not backwards compatible). However, I was significantly disappointed with this game for several reasons. First, the playlist was awful. The only a couple songs (literally 2) that I enjoyed playing, one of which was on the GHIII that I already owned. I don't believe the "Smash Hits" from all the games were selected. Second, once again all the work done in GHWT in creating characters and instruments could not be uploaded to the new game. This should not be hard to do. I want to play the music, not recreate the characters and logos that I had put a lot of time into in previous games. Third, the trophies were nearly identical to the ones in Metallica, showing no creativity in supporting this very popular feature. Lastly, even the cartoon videos between gigs, which serve no purpose in the game, seemed to have very little thought put into them. I only played the guitar versions of the songs, but because my enjoyment level was so low, I have no intention of playing any of the other careers. I was looking forward to GH5 after hearing about the feature of being able to play the music playlist at a party and joining in seamlessly, but am concerned the playlist will be poor at best.
