@Ozzie, Currently there's 3 gameplay videos up, Unforgiven, Fuel and War Ensemble by Slayer. Unforgiven looked extremely easy, even on guitar (not surprising really). Fuel was kinda in the medium range of songs, but still pretty damn easy. War Ensemble was HOLY CRAP! It goes at about the speed of Blinded By Fear with 30 second spurts of nonstop double bass on the drums. And the bass is about thrasher speed strumming from the looks of it. And the guitar is easily described as Raining Blood on anabolic steroids. So there are definitely gonna be some songs in the game that are break your balls hard.

A Metallica game could be promising (stepping away from all the sh*tpop that filled GHWT), but that interview didn't say much on how challenging the game would be (which also was a complete disappointment in GHWT, as it was too easy). We'll see soon i guess.

I am intrigued by the fact that Activision is stepping forward and doing the double bass pedals for the drum kit. However, I still don't know if that is enough to convince me to buy the Guitar Hero drum kit instead of the Rock Band drum kit because the cymbals are still absolutely terrible on the Guitar Hero drum set.

Megamega777 is completly right about MTV. MTV is a completely mindless-useless Channel. No words can express my feelings about MTV. But those up there are the best.

@Scrythex & Azwethinkweiz89: (This is just a theory so don't quote me) I think MTV gives you all this crappy stuff that would get stuck in your head which then sells which GIVES THEM MONEY. What is bad is the fact that the target market (majority of girls and guys who are full of themselfves /think that they are "gangsters that is down wit dat") is so vast. So really, why did MTV in the 80s accepted to broadcast Rock than any other genre? JUST CUZ IT SOLD AND GAVE THEM MONEY! Same for that Backstreet Boy stuff in the 90s and the rap/emo in today's world, JUST CUZ IT SOLD AND GAVE THEM MONEY! Rock and Heavy Metal will make a come back, it just takes alot of people (about 3/4 of North America) to say: "I have listen to the same **** for 10 years now! I am done with this country twang/gangster beat/emo kid that can't see the great things in life! Time to listen to something that is fun, energizing, and make want to punch people in the face!" That's my rant for today...

@Scrythex There are still great metal bands out there today. You just have to dig a little deeper than what you see on MTV or hear on the radio.

This sounds awesome, messing around with some of the formula and providing a full metallica experience (i hope), will buy this after GH WT full set and a ps3.

80s metal is good,but it had its time. As a Metallica fan, it was a great ride. but they're done. This will be an awesome tribute. now, lets hope we get Guitar Hero: Underground O_O

@Scrythex Three letters M-T-V, they show those crappy music over the good stuff.

Metallica is simply the best. So r the bands Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Dream Theater. Nowadays ppl r listening to all this pop crap and emo junk. Like Britany Spears, Fallout Boy, or Panic at the Disco(those bands suck). Whatever happened to the good old 80s Heavy Metal?

I can't wait for this!! If only I had a guitar hero wt drum kit I would buy the double base pedal but I only have the rb drum kit. I hope the rb kit works on it!! Hopefully it'll come out before like May or somin like that!! METALLICA ARE THE BEST!!

I think this is as close as we're gonna get to Guitar Hero: Metal Edition or whatever...so maybe I'll pick it up.

Fight Fire with Fire, Disposable Heroes, Damage INC... This will be a great experience... Prepare for some pain in your fingers

This might be one of the only reasons I would buy a Guitar hero guitar. I suck at rythm-games, but because it's metallica I would totally buy it! MetallicA ROCKS!!
