Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock User Review

- The Bottom Line:
- "Just plain fun"
ok, so there are 3 ways i will review this. 1st by graphics, then by sound, then by gameplay.
graphics: well, in all honesty, theres not much to look at. BUT the stuff you CAN see are done exceptionally. for example the character modeling, customization ETC. the backrounds look quite good aswell. 7.5/10
Sounds: obviously, as a rhythm game the sounds have a great influence.
the track list is rather good, but i personally found that there werent enough songs. That being said, u CAN download more off xbox live, but to cost the money it does i personally find it a waste. Theres about 20/30 good songs on there i believe, such as through the fire and flames, slow ride, and the metal.
the sound is obviously high quality, and the music is good. my only complaint is that when u miss a note, it makes a HORRIBLE sound and you want to kill yourself if u miss say 5 in a row. although it makes sense for it to sound bad, its PAINFUL. sound=8.5/10
gameplay: the gameplay is done well in this game, but i personally had a few problems with it. To start off, its difficulty is quite hard. its ur usual guitar hero gameplay, with maybe 1 or 2 new things. But most of all, the worst thing with this game is that ur wrists will be EXTREMLY painful after maybe 5 songs. ESPECIALLY on harder songs. the gameplay is alot of fun, but definatly has flaws and doesnt evolve the franchise enough. all in all, its done well. 7.5
this game is done very well, but didnt make the franchise seem any MORE appealing than before. any rhythm game fan or rock fan should pick this one up.

Fun for any Guitar Hero fan, but nothing particularly innovative.

Best entry to the series, even prior to the added peripheral war. Very innovative when it first released..

A solid music game that keeps the series fresh.
