Although, the new additions are meaningless, the great sound tracks and gameplay is an absolute asset...

User Rating: 8.5 | Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock PS2
Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock is a game where you pretty much match 5 different colors with a PS2 wireless guitar and you complete different types songs ( Sort of like Dance Dance Revolution).

There are four types of difficulties in this game; easy, medium, hard, and expert. On the easy mode you only match three colors which is green, red, and yellow I believe. Easy mode is pretty much basic and even my 5-year old sister can handle it. On medium things start to get difficult because your going to have to use that pinky finger which is very awkward and quite difficult to get the hang of. Now on the hard mode it is extremely difficult for first timers. The speed is way much faster and you have to use 5 different buttons at once; green, red, yellow, blue, and orange.
Now the expert mode is only for experts ( so obvious I know). The speed is ten times faster than hard mode but don't worry, you still only use 5 different colors at once which is still difficult.

Even though the difficulties are super hard it can keep you occupied for months or even years because trust me it is challenging.

Now for the gameplay. I basically explained how the game is played in the beginning, but I want to get into the songs in this game. It is packed with some of the greatest rock songs in the history such as "Bulls On Parade," "paint It Black," and many more. So those are the greatest assets in this game.

Now let's talk about the negative stuff. The so called rock battle in the career mode is a bit unnecessary because due to the fact that this game is about playing rock music instead of battling the computer with rock beats. Another bad thing is that the career mode is too short and it just looks like someone just made the story in a rush ( like some sort of science project that was done ten minutes ago.)

Now let's move on to the graphics. The graphics isn't mind blowing, but it is still acceptable considering that it's the PS2. So you can't really complain on this part.

You should definently go buy this game because of the killer sound tracks and the challenging and fun gameplay.
