It good, really good. Guitar Hero 2 is an absolute masterpiece. I didn't play the first Guitar Hero, so I can't compare it with this, but Guitar Hero 2 is a totally engaging and addictive game with lots of challenge to keep you entertained for a couple of hours.

Guitar Hero supports some good multiplayer options such as the cooperative which you can be with your friend, help each other. The Face-Off mode in which you challenge your opponents whom which the winner must get a larger amount of point. And there is also the Pro Face-Off.

The 'career' mode is available from the beginning. The first difficulty will be a good practice mode for those who are looking to proceed to the next level though the true practice mode is really good and helpful.

Level of challenged is balanced. There are 4 difficulties and the higher the difficulty the faster you must be. There is a great amount of songs and some of them are extremely good but not everyone will like them all. The gameplay in the game is simply great. You must hit the correct buttons, seems easy but somehow fun. Even on the easiest difficulty the forward you go on songs, the difficulty seems to go a bit high, but nothing you can't handle. When not in the first difficulty (2nd till 4th) you can go to the shop and buy songs, characters, guitars and outfits. You can only earn money from the 2nd to the 4th level of challenge. That's why I said the 1st one is sort of practice to the really thing.

Though the graphics aren't by the best on the PS2, characters and backgrounds are really good. No glitches or bugs. Sound is fantastic and there are some songs you enjoy. Presentation is awesome too. Never lacks challenge or anything. You'll find challenge in almost every song. Guitar Hero provides a ton of replay value. You can be stuck playing this game for long hours. Though the gameplay might get a bit old some times, if the tracks are a bit either long or not very good.

My closing comments are that this game is an outstanding one which should be played if you liked rock. The practice mode, career mode (can't remember the name) and the multiplayer mode are sure to hook you. Even if you're just looking for an entertaining game with some challenge which you don't kill people, Guitar Hero might not be a bad choice.
