The rock continues.

User Rating: 9 | Guitar Hero II (Game only) X360
When Guitar Hero was first released back in 2005, it was an instant success. While not only providing players with a unique challenge, it also completely revolutionized the music genre and made it what it is today. Now comes the sequel for the PS2 and Xbox 360. While the PS2 version was a success, the Xbox version improves upon its PS2 cousin by adding more features, which don't exactly change the entire gameplay itself but are still a nice touch in the end.

PROS:
-Really wacky rock-style graphics that have been smoothed out and have a much sharper image than the PS2 version
-Great soundtracks from the PS2 plus a few extra songs to choose from
-It provides more of a challenge than the first game with the addition of the 3 button chords
-The addition of practice mode helps you tackle those tricky sections
-FREE BIRD!

CONS:
-Some of the cover songs aren't really that good
-The character animations could have been more lively

For the most part, this is still one solid music game that is sure to keep fans of the series and newcomers alike very happy for a long time, at least until they try the others.
