Guitar Hero: Rock the 80s is a fun Guitar Hero game, but definitely not worth the $60 price tag. Sure, it's Guitar Hero, but it doesn't have any bonus songs (only 30 songs) and the only difference from GH2 is different songs and the 80s themed venues and costumes.

I mean, the game has some fun songs, but once I beat the game I rarely ever played it again (unlike the other Guitar Heroes). This game should have been priced at $30-$40, like any other expansion game, and it would have gotten a lot more fans, but it seems like it was a rushed money maker.

I don't know what else to say about it. If you have read my GH reviews and haven't been under a rock for a while then you should know what Guitar Hero is and understand the hype. I just found this sequel dissapointing, but if you have a Guitar Hero guitar and PS2, its worth a rental, but maybe not a purchase.

  Rock the 80's doesn't really bring anything new to the Guitar Hero formula, but its amazing how its so uninspired.
