For fans of Guitar Hero and 80s tunes

Well it's time for another Guitar Hero adventure. This time around it's GH:80s. I will tell you up front. Don't buy this game expecting it to be anything but a new batch of songs for the GHII engine because that's ALL that this is. If you want a stand-alone guitar hero game, get GHII. That will satisfy you. If you already have that one and need more songs to play and don't want to mod your PS2 to do it, this is what you've got.

The presentation has been accurately described before so it'll be suffice to say that it's GHII with different colors.

The set list is fun. I can't think of a single song that's on the game that I didn't have fun playing. There may be some relatively unknown songs on there but that doesn't make them any less fun to play.

The difficulty from start to finish is well balanced. Bang your head is a easy tune and you won't beat Play With Me on the first try. I don't know how the note-charts stack up across the various difficulty levels as I've only just beaten the game on expert only. Overall I'd say that I'm pleased with the song choices and the layout of the note charts on the songs and if you're into Guitar Hero, you should pick this up if you haven't already. And when you do get it, go to Best Buy. Their price is about the best around.
