All these new features in GHMix mean nothing unless they let us use accidentals. I hate being forced into the confines of one scale. Fellow musicians will know what I mean.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a casual listener of musics with a big preference to rock/metal and its branched out genres but GH shouldn't always be just pure metal. Then again GH should do on demand DLC. What I meant to say is that if anyone has a song that features these 4 instruments, they want to play, then GH developers should make them available. I prefer the 1st ever GH because they had one of my favourite song by Black Label Society. And NathanHippy? Did you see Slipknot at Download this year? If not, they were awesome; but so was Faith No More and Def Leppard.

Where is Slipknot!!!? there has been none since GH3 and it was the best song to play on the game. More metal would do me... But come on Slipknot Are the best metal band at the moment, and have been since there first album.

Oh, yay. So with the new and "improved" GHMix, instead of having to split a song into three parts because of the 1200 notes/instrument (or maximum of three minutes) -limit, I have to split the song into three parts because the 7500 notes are shared. Damn well done, Neversoft! Even my own band's songs have a total of about 8000 notes in less than three minutes...

I don't hate GH but after trying to play through some later songs on medium, I certainly don't like it. I once again had to put bags of frozen peas on my arms from the strain of playing it. How one has the ability t play Dragonforce on medium let alone expert is beyond my comprehension. I prefer the older GH before RB came out. But that's just me being the old fashioned dinosaur.

People are hating on GH the same reason people hate on the PS3. One, RB/360 have a bigger fanbase right now. Two, the PS3 and GH series take more money to get what you want. But what I don't get, is that the PS3 and GH series actually give a whole lot more for their price, besides the lack of fanbase...

They dont take much time on the Guitar Hero series. 2 games have came out sence rock band 2. Ill stick to rock band for now. If you wanna know why, and my points against flaming (if any) its in my review about RB2

Rockband 2, definitely. You can actually install rockbad 1 onto your 360 hard drive and play rockband 2. All the tracks form 1 will be playable on 2. At least that's what my friend told me. I was a big fan of guitar hero 1 when it came out on PS2, but I agree with what socialanxiety said. The difficulty issues is still just as bad ever since GH3, medium has become the new hard mainly because a lot of people have been playing expert mode too easily nowadays. As for smash hits... well I covered that in my review.

Terrible interview for what's most likely going to be a terrible game. I mean, the drums look even worse than last year.. how have they not fixed this yet? The gameplay still looks as week as World Tour, so I'm sticking with Rock Band. Neversoft should have never touched this series.

the Guitar Hero engine is very outdated. It's just not ready for drums. Remember world tour? In world tour all notes on drums remained on the screen after u hit them. That makes me wonder if I hit any note(Yes I was hitting them). GH5 looks pretty cool... But I want a damn guitar that lasts more than a week of strumming.

sounds great but i'll still stick with rock band 2 for now. Nothing that really sells it for me. More song keep coming out for rock band so that's satisfying my rocking need at the moment. I really want some Bloc Party tracks though!

gr8......ANOTHER guitar hero game.......why. instead of releasing more games, why dont they just make this as a DLC add-on pack for world tour, cos that all it seems to be... Once it was strong, now its become weak and lame...

I'm not saying this is bad, it's just that they're making WAY TOO MANY GH games. I'll stick with my Rock Band 2 with 700+ songs.

Guitar Hero will never beat Rock Band...it seems more of a gimmicky game than an actual full rhythm game.

I was about done with Guitar Hero when the 3rd one stopped letting you play as Clive Winston (seriously, what the hell?). Though it seems like Activision is trying to get in touch with their audience again, I doubt it will be enough to pry me from Rock Band any time soon.

Someone needs to explain to the X-Box development community that nobody gives a crap about their avatars. If you can do some sort of photo-capture or make reasonably realistic avatars, sure, a lot of people would dig that. But the current Mii knock-off avatars are just a mild irritation and shouldn't be occupying valuable development dollars.

Johnny Cash rules, can't say the same about the game tho.

There are some songs I really want from this game but the chances the specific songs I want may be DLC for RB are pretty good. I mean the Gorillaz just released 3 songs for RB this week.

I'm officially done with Guitar Hero. It's sad I'm saying that since I loved GH2 and GH3... and GH: Metallica.

only song im excited about is Bullet with Butterfly wings.

@KoRniTo Realitically every 6 months, but I agree. I'd like to change it to just having the one game on every console then having track lists come out on disc every year or so.

I don't like this "guitar hero mania" coming out basically every month. It's just ridicolous how they just wanna milk more cash with this series.
