i know this has been said before... but change the name at least, now to down grade is gonna come, but... ill never buy a game like this again before it has GUITAR only. achivement wh*re dont want to learn to play other instruments.

The only problem with any GH game is that they need more metal songs. Seriously! They need to make a GH for EXPERTs, cause faster, and more challenging songs are ALOT funner for EXPERTs. There needs to be songs like by Bullet For My Valentine, Dethklok, Korn, Dragonforce, Avenged Sevenfold, any band that has awesome solo's and insane guitar players is fine by me.

This game looks badass!! Can't wait to play it.

Over the years of playing guitar hero, there has been none stop complaints that arent really helping anyone. "its better to play real guitar" or "rock band was better" and "this isnt guitar hero now, its band hero". People who have said, agree or think this, good for you. But dont ruin it for GH fans. We choose to play the game cause we enjoy it. The endless list of tracks they could choose from allows them to make more games. Plus, at each feature change and new characters must be a new game and cant really be a dlc. Time to end my rant, go Gh, you rock and this looks like the best one yet!

This looks a bit more interesting than the last few i reckon, hopefully some wicked achievments like off of GH3 will be on this plus BETTER DLC!!

-HumanoMexicano Big deal, you can find one for $250. It still proves my point that if you went out right now and bought a brand new band kit for guitar hero it would cost LESS than an actual guitar. In fact you would be able to buy an extra gh guitar or another game, and it would still cost about the same. your comment was pointless.

neversoft is starting to lose al my respect for them. they're milking every fransiche they got, first tony hawk which started out awesome but in the end was just hoping it would finally die and now guitar hero... too bad, neversoft was such a cool company back in the 90's

im slowly starting to lose my hope for this franchise. they need to just stop for awhile and sit back and let things go. the track list sucks and they did not add anything special to the gameplay. but it looks like they tweeked the graphics a bit though. yay graphics.

I hope it finally has 8 Wii connection, if RB2 can do it, why can't GH do it too? It looks like it has some fun new features, can't wait to try this one.

when are they gonna realize that this cow has been milked dry? guitar hero used to be fun.... but now theyre making a new one like every month, and they dont know when to stop. they should have stopped making them after guitar hero 3, because aerosmith sucked, world tour wasnt true to the guitar hero name; it was more like band hero, as was metallica. See? i haven't even named half of the guitar hero games. activision is getting all the nerds that aew obsessed with this game hook-line and sinker

Guitar Hero is getting old, i swear they bring out one after the other after the other all the time!

I think they've beaten this franchise to death enough already. Other than a brand new tracklist there's very little Activision can do to keep the gameplay fresh and interesting with all these sequels.

dcboy36... GH already got Jimi Hendrix (GHWT) & is gonna get the whole Van Halen band (GHVH). Though if it didn't go full band, it can't keep up with the compedtiton. Don't like it, don't buy the other instruments, plain & simple.

i think guitar hero should be just guitars, i mean its called guitar hero but its the whole band. It would be really cool if they got legendary guitar players like Jimmie Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. And they had songs that made these guys famous. I think guitar hero is coping rock band

Since they got the time to add Expert Plus & fix the band interface, GH should stop here & fill the Music Store with awesome songs (a la Rock Band). Anyway, I'll give this game a chance (since there are songs on the setlist I like, & new songs I want to try). What would be nice is if they allowed you to export past full band games (GHWT, GHM, & GHSH) along with Band Hero (for those who like it, but I'll skip that). Other than that, I'll get this for my Wii.

This seems cool and neat, but for gods sake We don't need a new sequel every damn year. I find Rock Band does fine because of it's constant Store additions but nonetheless, all this is, is some pathetic attempt at an expansion pack, with new features that wasn't needed. I used to Love Guitar Hero but I feel it's being milked to it's last bone.

i have to say the setlist is bad and i wont be buying it. The last music game bought was RB2 and that and i wont be buying another until they make a metal version because after you get good no fun playing these easy songs. They need either make a 100% metal GH or RB game or make and game for experts where all the songs are tuff until then though ill be playing my real guitar.

@cigarcat No way they would do that for the full game. There definitely a chance for some DLC or expansion packs which would have their own rating. They're trying to appeal to as broad of an audience as they can with the main game.

I wish they'd put out a GH with an advisory sticker or something. Ya know, mabye get a little Korn, maybe some Slayer! Cannibal Corpse, perhaps. Slipknot? All uncensord... or Rock Band. Someone else maybe?

The only problem World Tour had was the interface of the game is not like Rock Band 2 showing you the artists albums and difficulty on the screen and the microphone was not responsive enough. I mean you can know a whole song by heart and at best you was gettin' is a 85%. And i'm talin' about puttin it on HARD to. Let's not talk about EXPERT. You have to be the song itself in order to pass.

I'm 50/50 on this. I mean as far as the standard and online fetures go, I can't wait to play it!!! BUT, as far as the artists and the track list that appers on this game, (you can go to Guitarhero5.com to see the track list) it's not better than GH: World Tour.

haha we don't need it but obviously people get enjoyment out of it cause they're still making millions on newer soundtracks every year. don't hate on the game cause you stomp the pedal like a retard and feel the need to buy every accessory and don't waste your time on this game or writing about the game if you don't even like it... douche.

Yeah!!! Just what we need, another Guitar Hero game to spend piles of cash on with songs off of previous installments and a slight graphical overhaul. I've already preordered the shiny new plastic guitars, all 50 of em. The extortionately priced plastic drumkit, plus pads, sticks and a replacement bass pedal for when it breaks. Not forgetting the microphone, the cardboard cut out groupies, the mullet wig, the temporary tatoos, a life...

robosplicer, get Metallica, you will never find a harder Guitar Hero, and the songs are awesome.

just make the songs have crazy solos and riffs and no songs that make you fall asleep and ill be happy
