Guitar, Base, Drums, Singing. A great game with all the elements of making a band. Lots an lots of fun with friends.

After getting quite addicted to GH3 I was very excited about playing all the instruments of a band, all at once too with the right people. Comparing this to GH3 and I like the game itself less. The track list is not great. Good, but not great. And nothing new is really implemented in terms of game play. It seems to me to be just an easier version to accommodate the new comers.

But really the reason why this game is great, is simply because of the mic and drums. Playing this with friends is fantastic. Such a good experience. I am still learning the drums on all the different tracks. And it is such a challenge, that doesn't seem to get boring at all. Build up your set lists with some of these other games like metallica, van halen, smash hits and even some rock band (beatles anyone? ) and the fun meter just keeps rising.

As far as GH5 goes, its ok. The menu system is slightly annoying. It really could have done with an overhaul, since it had new instruments. The graphics on the the wii are.... well wii ish. Not great, but passable. You could probably buy the instruments with another game, or on its own and buy a version of GH more towards your liking. As long as you get to bang away at the drums and play with mates. That's all that matters.

And that's about it from me. If you have never played it before, then this quick review might not help so much and you should really get out from under the rock you have been living and buy this game. Guitar Hero is an addictive and very satisfying play.
