Guitar Hero 5 on the Xbox 360 is very fun to play, but its control problems make it disappointing.

The good: Great lineup of songs everybody loves, even if you hate the song, you'll love playing them, Xbox 360 achievements are fun to accomplish.
The bad: control is unresponsive at times, making it frustrating to play, you need an xbox live account to play career mode.

I've played a bunch of Guitar Hero games in my life, and when i played Guitar Hero 5 on the Wii, I had a blast. Yes, it's the same thing as before, but it's still very fun to play and is addictive. I expected the Xbox 360 version to be better, but it's actually a step down from the Wii version! Sure there's Xbox live achievements and online game-play, but what good is it if the game won't let you have fun? The Wii version is simple and fun to play, but the 360 version is lacking in comparison. You might be thinking that this is better than the wii version, but I'll tell you why it isn't.

But first, I'll tell you the game-play is simple, with 5 buttons o the left of the guitar, and a switch resembling a string, and a strummer. You can perform with star power if you have enough energy. The songs are fun to play and challenging to boot, even on easy mode. The Xbox achievements are fun to unlock to boast to your friends, and the multiplayer is addictive as well.

Unfortunately, the game is plagued with a huge flaw. In the middle of your performing on guitar, sometimes the guitar will turn off by itself, and your song will be ruined! When you're so close to the end, only to have it ruined by the controls absence, that just sucks. I've never been more ticked off by a Guitar Hero game at all until the 360 version of Guitar Hero 5. I have no idea if it's just my guitar that does it, or if every other guitar does it. I just find that as a serious technical flaw.

The graphics are sharp and clean, but are barely above average. The music is fantastic, with some of the best song lineups, with classics such as "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "In My Place", "Sultans Of Swing", and "Running Down A Dream". I found it weird that you can make a female character sing A GUY SONG!!!

Guitar Hero 5 is very fun to play, but its control problems make it disappointing. I expected this to be better then the Wii version, but the Wii version's responsive controls that never breakdown or turn off leaves the 360 version in the dust. But if you take the game in small doses, it's a must have for the 360 if you can get past the unresponsive control. But if you own a Wii, stick with that version. I enjoyed Guitar 5 for the 360, but unresponsive controls bring down what should have been an A+ game.
