This is a fast paced game, really aggressive but has characters that favours also defensive type games, combos are easy to pull for beginners, but the more you play and practice, you can develop really difficult combos using Roman Cancel and Fake Roman Cancel (this one requires high precision, with a window of 10 frames per second to execute it right)
There is a bast roster of characters, each one with to styles, the second has to be unlocked. And this is a really balanced game, any character has the chance to win the match.
I've been playing all kind of fighting games, Art of Fighting series, Fatal Fury Series, Samurai Shodown series, Street Fighter series, Tekken series, Soul Calibur series, Mortal Kombat series, you name it.
Guilty Gear series are really worth playing, you'll get elements like quality, really good music (hard to find these days), excellent voice acting, aggressive designs, a lot of ways to play your character, to put pressure and to repel the opponent, ways to survive even without HP (consuming your super bar or with high precision per impact combination that lets you open if you execute it wrong), a combo system that let you enjoy hard beatings without having combos that kill you (the more hits you connect, the less amount of damage you'll deliver in every next hit).
This game is really really technical when you get to know it, and there is always a feeling of pressure around you. This game is one of the best fighting series out there in the market.
