*****Two Game Reviews*****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guilty Gear Judgment is a game you can ether buy at the PlayStation Stone, or as a package. Ether way, Guilty Gear Judgment is a great looking 2d anime style beat-'em-up game with very slick 2d animation.

With Guilty Gear Judgment, you get two games in one. Guilty Gear Judgment and Guilty Gear X2 #Reload. While Judgment itself may not be as great or as satisfying as X2 #Reload or perhaps even as a stand-alone individual. But as a package, Judgment is worth the play.

Guilty Gear Judgment Review
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Judgment is a very good arcade style side scroller, in which you have to move from left the right through stages and fight a significant amount of enemies in order to proceed to the next scene, and then onto the next stage. It can be annoying when you enter one scene only to get hit, knocking you back into the previous scene, and then having to fight more enemies again just to back the advanced scene you were already on. Each stage has its own look with great 2d anime backgrounds. Some stages have obstacles that require you to jump over, i.e. gaps in your path. Some gaps require you to do a running jump to get over, which can get very annoying sometimes due to the camera scroll lock, which means that as you proceed through the game the camera will follow you and will lock, stopping you from going back. This will only be annoying when you come to a gap you need to take a running jump at but don't have the room to do it because of the camera locked on you. But it's not just the camera lock system that can be annoying, trying to do a running jump in general can be quite tricky. First you perform a run, which is done by pressing the forward (RIGHT) button twice and than jump by pressing x. The tricky thing is sometimes you'll perform a double step instead and end up falling, losing a considerable amount of health. Most of the time you'll get hit by flying enemies as and if you run to the next scene, which can also be annoying. There are a variety of enemies from small to big, as well as boss fights of course. Enemies are pretty simple enough at the beginning of the game and as you proceed further in the story mode you will encounter stronger enemies. Some enemies can be quite hard to hit due to them ether being small, or in the air. There are object throughout the stages that can be broken to boost up your score and replenish you health. To begin with there are 5 characters too choice from and as you proceed, you'll unlock new characters as play with. There are 15 additional characters to unlock, which does sound like a lot, but doesn't really take that long to unlock. The sound-effect are really great and the soundtrack is kick ass, and motivating. If you like hard rock or metal music, you'll love the soundtrack in Judgment. The game-play is very fun and you'll probably find yourself playing for hours, but the controls may seem a bit difficult as first while trying to do special moves due to the PSP controls, and more so if you've never played a Guilty Gear game before. Sometimes enemies tend to get in the way of your characters making it quite hard to see the direction your facing, and the lack of not being able to block enemy attacks can make the game slightly harder than it should have been. Nevertheless once you get used to the controls, and everything else, the game-play is very fun. Guilty Gear Judgment is a very good arcade style beat-'em-up, and is very fun to play.

Guilty Gear X2 #Reload Review
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If for whatever reason Judgment doesn't appeal to you, Guilty Gear Judgment comes with Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, which is a great 2d fighting game. There are 23 characters to chose from all in which are superbly 2d animated. What makes the characters so unique is there exquisite looks and styles, as well as there fighting style i.e. Millia Rage uses her long blond her to fight rather then using her limbs, Bridget uses a yoyo, Dizzy uses spirits to hit her opponents and so on, which makes Guilty Gear very unique. Unfortunately, Guilty Gear X2 #Reload is missing some of its great single-player modes found previous versions of that game i.e. Story mode and Mission Mode, which is a bit of a downfall. The two main modes are Arcade Mode and Survival Mode. X2 #Reload has another mode call M.O.M "Master of Medals" Mode, which really isn't much different from Survival Mode, except you collect medals from hitting you opponents to boost up your score points. There's also a Training Mode, naturally, and you can even fight against a friend with system link or fight online, which is pretty decent. The game-play is a lot of fun and looks fantastic with excellent in game animations, that will certainly delight the eyes of any Guilty Gear fans, 2d anime fighting fans, and anime fans in general. However, the only downside you may find is due to the PSP controls. You may find it difficult at times to perform combos and special moves, and if you're not a casual PSP gamer, you may find your fingers and wrists getting stiff and cramped. You can of course purchase Guilty Gear Judgment for the PlayStation Store and play it on your PS3. If you're a newcomer to Guilty Gear, you may find the controls quite difficult as well. Whilst you'll find the characters in the game intriguing, it may take you some time to get used to the control, and with the characters combos and special attacks. The sound-effects are great and the soundtrack, much like Judgment and every other Guilty Gear game is fantastic, hard rock and metal music that really goes well with the overall game-play, and gets you motivating. Guilty Gear X2# Reload is a great import to the PSP and whilst it isn't the best Guilty Gear game out there, it certainly is a great one.

Overall Guilty Gear Judgment is great package that any fan of the Guilty Gear series, anime fans or 2d anime fighting game fans should enjoy.
