The first real Guild Wars expansion that reveals where the series is heading
This is officially the last chapter in Guild Wars and will show you how and why the stage is being set for Guild Wars 2. This time around you do not get new classes to play, but instead get new skills for all classes, big new areas to play in, an epic story with a grand finale, new heroes, armors, weapons and so on.
GWEN will introduce new races and forge alliances. New skills might prove useful for your PvP games, but there is a lot of story based content here as well, quite possibly just as much as any other stand alone campaign. The story is available to play once you characters hit level 20 or a bit earlier, this means you must have strong characters in order to play trough the story, instead of an option to create a brand new one and learn the basics.
With GWEN you also get a certain feature to show your achievements so far and use them to gain extra starting bonuses for use in Guild Wars 2. If you love Guild Wars and have invested a lot of time into it, but plan to move onto Guild Wars 2, this is a must buy.
