This whole video shows how BA the game will be...everything after 4:04 shows how "Holy Sh*t! Did that just happen?!" the game will definitely be. GW2 FTW!

Thomasskins, you said you can't wait til March. Isn't the game supposed to come out in November? Or am I wrong?

Thomasskins 5 pts

Im so glad there taking the repetative grinding out & with the new Dynamics, i think this will be a title to beat for years to come, sortta like WoW when it 1st came out.

Guild Wars 2 GC 2010 Divinity's Reach Demo (PC) After playing this I cant wait untill march I just hope they dont delay it again, I WANT IT!

I'm incredibly interested to see how this branching storyline concept works in and MMO setting. What if I made a decision that resulted in the destruction of that village she mentioned and some person I'm playing with ended up saving that village? Will we no longer be able to play together because our worldspace would be different? Or would we simply see our version of the village on our respective screens? This concept truly intrigues me.

@ gokusan6669 Give me extraordinary gameplay and thrilling pve experiences over extensive character customization any day!

7_armageddon_7 16 pts

Yeah, that dragon boss (the Shatterer) is a mid lvl40 boss and was shown at Gamescon - check out the Divinity's Reach demo! It's not even one of the Elder dragons, the true source of conflict in Tyria.

i never played GW1, but this game is FREAKING HOT :p

Good artwork, good concept, good vision, good game. Yes please.

I am really glad that Guildwars 2 is coming out and ArenaNet is still full of go power to keep their game strong in the MMO market. We need games like GW2 to show the rest of the market that there are other good MMO designs out there. A good example is how they have held true to their pay model and be successful at it.

@redneckdouglas I played it and there is still autoaim like in all MMO's. However, the combat system is quite different than any other game I've ever seen but in the demo the differences weren't very noticable (the final game will probably be harder so it will require you to fully understand the combat system and I think you can appreciate the changes then).

"And if you hate MMO's then you'll REALLY like Guild Wars 2!". A brilliant line that got my attention. I'll keep an eye on this one for sure.

redneckdouglas 5 pts

Hope there is no autoaim bs like all MMO's.

Lavaflow900 5 pts

You know that giant electric dragon at the end? From what I've read, it's NOT the final boss.

margimargi17 5 pts

The painterly look is beautiful. I look for games that I can get lost in for a few hours a week. I've never played Guild Wars but I'm looking forward to trying this one out.

xeonnyle 5 pts

I totally believe this game will be aweosme. The only thing I pray for is my graphics card...

xeonnyle 5 pts

Looks totally amazing! The only thing I siagree with is the fact there is no more dual class system! =[ Which kinda sucks, and the strange fact that there is no healer class. But why would one thing ruin my vision for this game? Still looks totally awesome!

Rega-jur 6 pts

Can't wait for this!!! I've been savin $50 that i've constantly been wanting to use, in order 2 get this game. GW is the best!!!

robin1232 5 pts

@SolidSmith1608 Yes, Jeremy Soule (Guild Wars, Oblivion, you know!) is still the composer for Guild Wars 2. source: http://www.arena.net/blog/talking-heads-vo-and-dialogue-in-gw2#more-2859

Unless you've played Guild Wars 1 for an extended period, you'll most certainly believe this is just the high-minded baseless promising that all MMO devs do, and it may be. They're definitely talking bigger than they did for GW1, I think Warhammer set the precedent for talking MMOs up. But this is all in-game right now as you can see by the entirely in-game vids. That's a lot more than can be said for SW:TOR and the other major MMOs in development right now. In GW1, they tried to revolutionize MMO PvP and I think they did. It's one of the most balanced and diverse PvP experiences you can have right now. In GW2, they're trying to revolutionize PvE, and I don't see why they can't do it. Nightfall was already a great story from GW1 and ANet have shown their ability to innovate in that game. One thing you can be certain of though, is that this will not be another WoW-clone.

I WANT! guild wars has always provided a superior experience. problem is, when will this be out?!?! they've been taunting us for years!

spinmastah 5 pts

@djsweete3 Arenanet provides better game support than blizzard ever did for WoW, what are you paying 15$ a month for again? Guild Wars 2 will crush WoW, take your mindless trolling elsewhere.

I have been watching this game since guild wars 1 stole years of my life what seems so long ago. This game sounds like the MMO I have been waiting for. I look forward to seeing you all back in Tyria.

Arenanet are accustommed to backing there words up. Everything that they have talked about is IN THE GAME NOW. They won't talk about it otherwise. You have to admire them because they are taking a huge risk on this one completely smashing the established conventions of the MMO genre. Gamescon will see something that will forever change the MMO landscape. Doubters beware they have already thrown down the gauntlet. Quote from Mike O'Brien Arena founder "get ready, because we've talked the talk, and now we're going to walk the walk." Something is about to change in MMO's forever I think

To those who are saying they're staying the same stuff everyone else promises, if you read up on the articles I think it shows that they mean what their saying. I trust the people at gws, they handle everything with care and know how the players will perceive what's given to them. They have so many articles on how those ideas they always mention like no grind and feeling like the center of the game. If the video doesn't persuade you look up the articles. the whole combat system is gonna be so unique with combining elements like electrical bullets and fire arrows and their trait system. The people at gws are very educated and talented. They're bringing MMORPGs to what they truly promise instead a game of grinding and boring gameplay.
