Ok for me i found Guild Wars 2 wore off within a couple of months, found it kinda stale and repetitive. I quit Wow after 7 years of playing it for guild wars. After i stopped playing guild wars i tried SWtor and OMG what a disapointment that was and now ive just currently rerolled on AOC and man im haveing fun again like i did back in Vanilla wow. I really hope arenanet does something to bring me back to guild wars cos i still really want to like the game. AOC is hard and not for the feint hearted so beware. It isnt like other MMOs as far and breeze play goes. Try IT folks!!!

ArenaNet shows off new Guild Wars 2 content including Halloween themed locations and events.
Pfff, nice try but there is nothing new here, the Candy Corn Men were in the first game, and that game was nothing spectacular...
I really liked this game for the first couple weeks. But I dunno, it just grows stale after awhile. I love the fact there's no monthly fee, but this isn't nearly as engrossing a game as I thought it would be.
I never imagined I would say this, but I agree..
The game art is very good, and it's a delight to explore it for the first time.
You literally stumble upon dynamic events, some of which are awesome.
Downside is that these events are mostly very light on story, it's more like random faits divers happening left and right. It certainly makes the world feel more alive than the usual MMO, but it's not a replacement for immersive lore-exposure.
Moreover, the main story which is supposed to suck you in and pull you through the entire game, is average (I did the human one). Some story steps are rather good, but almost none are excellent. Too formulaic, too familiar, too short bits, too shallow storytelling. No long, deep dialogues (I actually miss the walls of text like in LotRO !). Entirely soloable and instanced. You think they'd use the dynamic events inside the personal story, but no.
A personal peeve about the skills-tied-to-weapons setup: I want to freely choose which skills I equip. Let's say I like 1 skill on my rifle, but I wanna ditch the other 4 to replace them with something else. Not possible. The system is too rigid, which makes the limit of 10 readily available skills all the more painful. I would love a crafting system which allows you to put custom skill sets on weapons.
'Completing' every zone feels very... dunno, formulaic, repetitive. Zoning between every zone, even though each zone is huge, is also a minor disappointment. Some MMOs manage to have one contiguous landscape.
World vs. world can be very, very fun, that is when the servers are fairly matched. I'm sure I'll be returning after I complete the PvE to dip in WvW from time to time, but it's not as addicting (engrossing) as I would've hoped.
Currently I'm enjoying Riders of Rohan more, for its excellent atmosphere and music, good use of lore, and incredible landscape.
Mounted combat and open tapping does a lot to temporarily forget the otherwise old-fashioned mechanics of the game :-)
I like guild wars 2, but jumping puzzles are not interesting to me. I would probably like it a lot more but I live in Korea and there is is a serious lack of players in my time zone so many events are just dead.
this game lost my interest 2 weeks after release. repetitive,no costumization except for your look lmao.... who the fuck wants to farm badges for endless hours simply to change a piece of gear that has the SAME fucking exact stats as your previous one but changes the look . boring ass shit. No end game content, pvp is boring. MMOs are deff boring
@GamerOuTLaWz It's just not your cup of tea then. I'd rather explore and enjoy all 80 levels and generally not really cares too much about my gear rather than grinding like fuck so that the game will only be fun after I max out my character. You're just disappointed because you had hoped this was something like WoW used to be, but that is exactly the opposite of what the dev team is trying to achieve. This is a casual game for people who want to have fun along the journey, not focusing solely at the destination
@GamerOuTLaWz oh look a wannabe hardcore player here, it seems that you are looking for the end game model of blizzard, Anet never promised that, and you played only 2 weeks? great experience there bro, and no one forces you to farm exotic gear, you can run the dungeons and get different gear with different stats.
Jumping puzzles rewards are also useless so theres no point in doing those. this game is just as dumbed down as WoW became on Burning cruisade and as SWTOR was since release
Love this game. Playing right now. There is a ton of content and it's great because you can go back and do any area because of the level adjustments. I'm still not 80 because I got sucked in to sPvP.
so far so good but i think i would prefer them to add perma stuff to the game.
Saw some season stuff like armors and weapon skins that would be gone after the season?
its ok but a bit of waste of 3d modeling.
And again. Im long time lvl 80 and still loving the game. It stacks well with my working life as the "end game" is soft but its there. To upgrade pvp skills with time and getting some pve parts for epic weapons its working for me :)
Not much of a "major content" update, they just re skinned aload of stuff and added in more annoying puzzles and no actual end game content and things that really want you to play instead of maki
