With great power comes great responsibility. Watch it all go to waste!

First of - I'm a fan of GW1. I did all, saw all that is to see in first Guild Wars. I was really on the hype wave with GW2 and hey - loved it when it came out. Didn't understand all the hate toward this game. People don't want another WoW, but when they get something different, they moan it isn't the WoW. Great logic - bravo guys, bravooo! For me, the game was 9,5/10 (but fanboy in me gave it 10 anyway :P ). All I wanned, just not enough things to do in the so called endgame. But hey - it's MMO, they will build on what we have, will they? Will they?!
But some time passed, months, updates upon updates and with every update I need to lower my score. Don't get me wrong - it's still solid game. Around 7/10, not 9,5/10 anymore. If You're searching for casual MMO to play - that's Your spot. It is best there is and probably best there will be in upcoming years. But if You want game, You can log in to every day, and spend hours and hours with friends? You'll get bored after 3 months.
Anet (the creators) wanned to fight with lack of endgame with thing called Living Story. Thats new content, added for limited time only. Sweet deal. Yeah - it would be, but Living Story is a 15 minutes content update for whole month. 2 archs been released and heh - first one was medicore, second is weak and uninspiring. Boring & easy or (worse) boring & hard by bad design. Yeah - You got that right. Game is easy. Too easy. And when something in Guild Wars 2 is hard, it's usually is because designers screwed something. Like the Crab Tossing minigame, that award You one specific achievement if every other player on map fails. Kudos - brilliant idea. Don't play to win, play so others can fail. And to think that Anet made everything in this game, so players won't see each other as competition but as great assistance. Yeah, so much for that. And with every update there is at least one thing, that makes you wanna scream in pure rage. I swear, if they do have betatesters for new stuff, they need to release them from burden of this heavy duty and hire someone competent.
What more? This game could have amazing PvP. But the PvP is dead already. Awesome ground to build on, was something that Anet or NCsoft (publisher) treated as "great couldn't be better". But to be truthful - GW2 PvP had so many problems, that Anet should fight for the playerbase from day 1. They didn't and they do not even now - 9 months after. So, the PvP is dead and will be dead cold in weeks.
RvR? It's called WvW here and it was great. "Was" is the word. With upcoming updates, PvE suck out playerbase from all other activities and WvW was left to starve. With tESO and Camelot coming to the table, I think WvW crumbling playerbase will start servers merging and it will be pretty soon.
So why 7/10? It's really high note, for a game, that is in 1/3 broken and in another 1/3 soon to be broken. Because, the ground floor is still amazing. PvE is best there is.
Note that bad times that just started for GW2 ain't Anet fault. Every penny we - players - spend on this title is moved from it by NCsoft to other games they have or are making (upcoming WildStar). It's not bad idea to begin with - healthy cash flow to make all games in stable flourish. But someone there in NCsoft can't count or have brain damage, because they turned AAA title into ghost town in 9 months. This game had a shoot to be WoW killer, it had it all. Hype gave playerbase, GW1 gave wast world, new mechanics created new frontier to fight the king. It could be a great battle, with one sure winner - players. But there will be none, time passed, chance is missed and GW2 won't win this fight, fight won't even start. No matter how soon NCsoft will wake up, or how fast they will push box expansion into market - all of us who played game, know that it's not aiming into anything more than shallow casual fantasy MMO spin. Great shallow casual fantasy MMO, but nothing above that.
