    PvP is a big thing for me. I dont want to play this if its true that everyone is 80 right away and there's no way to make any kind of difference in gear and stats. I also heard that your item stats transfer over which gives the edge and makes you want to level to 80.

    Can anyone give me more detail on the PvP system and whats the reason to even level if your 80 right away?

    You get leveled to 80 with pvp gear for spvp(battlegrounds, rated battlegrounds essentially) . The reason they do this is so that it takes the gear out of pvp and its just a contest of skill. For WvWvW your leveled to 80 stats wise but you have no abilities unlocked and really bad gear. WvWvW lets you level as you do it and gain new gear and abilities. I personally like the system. Want to play another class for awhile in battlegrounds? Just make a new character do a quest and you can instaly just mess around with a full 80 spec for pvp. Also the pvp gear you start with looks like crap. There is some really cool looking pvp gear and the good pvpers will be able to get it which will make you stand out and look like a boss.
