This is my personal opinion on what I've observed over the months I've played this game and how the connection issues have not be resolved and probably never will be. So be warned it's mostly my own complaints and observation.

I've noticed from many games played that this game was just not designed(connection wise) for 10 players. It is very rare for a game to be lag free when Playing 5 vs 5. There's always lag until at least 1 or 2 people drop. Seems 4 vs 4 don't get d/cs as often. Most of my lag free/disconnect free games are 4 vs 4 with 2 bots. I stopped trying Elite since there's almost always lag and d/cs involved.

So I guess there is nothing they can do, from how long the game has been out and no fixes have been applied to the connection issue. So yeah 8 people or less and you are going to have a pretty good gameplay experience(outside of all the quits you'll see).

Most people just don't need the end match rewards anymore and would rather quit a useless match setup and get into another match sooner, then stick around for a few gold.

I myself can tell when I'm pitted against a good team and my team are newbies that are just not going to be able to pull a win. I'm not going to feel bad about quitting that game. I have all the money I'm going to need anyway. I don't rely heavily on potions as the 300 ones are more then enough and wasting your gold on the 900 ones is just unnecessary. Using the 300 gold potions, I still get more gold then I need.

Best way to save gold is to do as many challenges as you can so you get most of your relics for free.

So I'm assuming this is why most people quit. They don't really need the gold and it's so annoying to be in a party with people that just have no way of working with you, mostly due to no mic and/or team work. So why not quit. It has gotten worst but I rather have people quit then prolong the match and ruin their stats...as if anyone cares about stats anyway lol.

You get a lose for disconnecting on every match anyway. So you get a d/c on a match that you didn't get to play that's level 1 being averaged into your other matches that just brings, your average level achieved, down. So it's just useless to care about stats, imo, when the disconnects always count against you, be it your fault or not. Now even survival mode is made to hurt your stats too. In that game you're supposed to die a lot if you plan to survive together.

So I've realized that this game is fun but it gets old fast if you don't have a group of friends that are willing to make the experience enjoyable by talking(mics) and being with you during a match. No matter how good you are, if your team doesn't work well together and just plain sucks, you are not going to pull off a win.

I bet this game is way more fun on the Xbox just because most Xbox players are already used to using Mics a lot.

Anyone else noticed how the best players(teams) are now on battlegrounds. I've seen the top players mostly doing 'battlegrounds' now. When they used to dominate the 'elite' leader boards before.

Unfortunately the game's netcode seems to rely on all ten players being roughly synchronized in regards to data. When those players live all around the world with a multitude of different connection setups, it's obvious there's going to be some serious lag somewhere in the web. The same applies to every game. So I don't understand why Monolith designed the netcode thinking they could keep players sync'd this way.
