the best sim racing game ever made......
-terrific gameplay, controls and physics
-good variety of cars and tracks
-the best in-car/cockpit view implemented in any racer ever
-challenging, agressive and customizable AI
-drivng school is a fun and great addition and it's a great place for beginners and casual racing fans to start from..
-the sandboxy nature of the game!, combined with completely customizable wether effects, day time, tyres and car's set-up
- the most realistic racing sim ever!!, this is the closest thing to driving a real racing car as a video game can get..
cons:
-a bit hard to get into for casual racing fans or those who have been playing too much NFS, GRID and other crappy and arcady racers from codemasters.....(this isn't ice-skiing, this is realistic and hardcore racing action!!)
-dated graphics an presentation
-being based on actual and real GTR racing makes some of the events or races drag on for way too long sometimes...add to that some few annoyances that may come with realism...
conclusion:
GTR2 is a game that defines sim racing, this isn't another NFS game or another crappy and arcady racer from Codemaster!!, and this is defenitely not ice-skiing!!, the cars in this game hehave exactly like cars in real-life!!, so you can pretty much forget about taking sharp corners with drifting like you would normally do in GRID!, in GTR2 it's all about skills and realism, in order to win a race you have to avoid crashing as much as possible, you need to break at the right time and have your car at the right position to take on corners in the right way....just like you normally would do when you're driving a real racing car in a GTR event..
GTR2 is quite simply the best racing sam game ever made!!, i don't think it'll ever be topped, not even by other simbin racers like GTR:evolution and Race on!, those games while decent are still somewhat lacklustre when compared to this classis. if you're like me, are tired of all those arcade racers and rubbish out there, you should give this game a try, because it's possibly the best racer ever made...
