Not great, but a pleasure.

Ah, Ground Zero Texas...

I've logged thousands of hours on this. The sets look chinsy and the acting isn't the best, but the control is so simple and the concept solid-enough that it seems easy. It's actually addicting. You think to yourself, ''this is so easy, I should be able to do this. Ok, one more time...''

The gameplay is pretty simple and solid. The difficulty lies in aiming your weapon with the on-screen reticle. I've never been good at aiming in console FPS's, but even I got the hang of this after a while.

Like all FMV games on the Sega CD, the production budget isn't that large so the sets and actors are sub-par. BUT Ground Zero Texas seems to rise above its technical difficulties and delivers a solid, albeit cheesy, western-themed sci-fi romp.
