A crazy Awesome game sure the characters seem a bit stolen but the game play is crazy unique.

I'm not sure how many console 2D RTS are out their but this has to be one of the best, plus its one of few RTS with an actual Story. The Story of GrimGrimoire though it seems stolen from a certain book about a popular boy wizard is full of surprises and features some pretty funny characters like one named Margarita Surprise who has a toad/frog living on her head named Surely plus the unique 5 days which seem to repeat over and over is pretty cool and is incentive to continue so you find out what the heck is going on. The Gameplay is pretty much like any other RTS except for a few differences. Firstly it's 2D which makes sense for a Console game and is unique. Also theirs are no real factions sure their are four main types of familiars (the units in the game) but once you unlock the grimoires which summon them you can have all of them and you don't have to specialize in a single unit type though you can. The game does a good job of introducing each new unit so you can fully understand what each one does though trial and error always helps. A few problems with the game are that the backrounds for each level are pretty much the same though the actual units look amazing. Also its sometimes hard to understand which unit can kill which other one as all familiars are either substance or astral and different units can hit each though this isn't really specified and you can order a unit to attack any type of familiar even if it can't which is a bit annoying. None the less GrimGrimore is a refreshing RTS for people without fast computers for the crazy PC RTS's of today and has a unique concept.
