Among the best racing games in years.
Unfortunately, there are drawbacks as well. Even with the car selection, most cars only has one event-type it can participate in. Tracks begin to fel repetitive fairly quickly, especially in Japan. While your controls are sharp, the AI is utterly retarded, causing controller-crushing frustration, usually in the first turn in every race. There is no way to change setups. One-make races are rediculously difficult.
Overall though, it is a game worth the money and worth the time. My only wishes for Grid 2 are more observant AI, longer races, and more stock car events, just for stress relief.
AMENDMENT: After playing both GRID and DiRT 2 on their hardest settings, I found that though GRID's AI is questionable observation wise, DiRT 2's drivers need their licenses revoked and mouthes stapled shut.
