One car in exchange for knowing what a man's made of? That's a price Shaun McInnis can live with in this Grid 2 review.
After all my comments about grid2 ,I want to point out one last thing. It would have been such a disaster if the game had a few more seasons? And the second thing is there were very poor in car varieties. It's rediculous the collection to consist of 50 cars or so for such a company as CODEMASTERS.
The damage modeling looks great, but without a real cockpit view, this game is at best a rental for me. I know it's actually uncommon, but that's what it looks like to drive a real car- and I have a hard time driving any other way. Accurate interiors are part of the appeal for me too. I really liked Grid, despite it being very much more in the 'arcade' camp than 'sim'. Give me a true cockpit view and I'd be buying rather than renting it.
1 Like @Joeasdfghjkl @TheLamaKnows Certainly do, sir. I still think it's the only thing keeping devs honestly even trying to make good games. Once you have to buy it sight unseen, can't then resell it if it sucks.....that's a recipe for devs to make crap, knowing it's a sale regardless of how bad a game is because you can't preview it- and can't ditch it later.
Intense, fun and oh so addicting, I'm loving GRiD 2. It's hard to imagine that it's been 5 years since GRiD 1. I like the features of RaceNet, liveroutes and of course being able to upload gameplay to Youtube (something I think we'll see from all games next-gen). Just going through campaign at the moment but I'll be on multiplayer in a month or two.

problem i have with modern racing games is the leveling system eventally sucks all the fun out of the game. "you have unlocked a really fast car ... 20 more laps and an added 30 minutes a race for you!"
My kind of racer. Looks like it ganna be a big years for driving games. With this, Driving club, GT6, Forza and NFS all coming out soon. Ganna pick this up. This review has convinced me, and the physics look brilliant, and the sound amazing.
@Devilzblood Don't forget gametrailers. Pretty much all they do is video. Hope adblock doesn't get screwed over there too!

2 Like If you want people to look at stupid ads on your site then put some banners on the top and sides of the page like you did back in the day. But don't expect people to watch a 30 or 40 second commercial just to watch a 1 minute video. For Shame!!

@d3nR Yes, there are a ton, some complaining there are too many. lol People will complain about anything.

Not a bad game for an arcade racer, but I'm somewhat disappointed, the damage is often weird and the career is awful, challenges to get cars, the annoying dude, cant fly into the tempting forest or off the cliff..

This is the best online racing game I've played in many years. It's an absolute blast. The progression system will keep you playing a long time too.

Why the hell are cars drifting all the time? Wtf is this? Yeah, Pagani Zonda is a huge drifter, sure, also the FWD cars. Slight tap of the controller and the car goes sideways.
And to even suggest that this game is a blend of simulation and arcade is an abomination, there is no simulation component here, sorry.
The game is a joke.
@Atrax2k8 You're going to fast, it's too realistic for you so called hardcore sim racers and you're not used to it. Slow down well before you get to a turn and that won't happen. Sorry to break it to you but you can't go 120 in a turn in real life and expect not to slide, you'll be lucky if your car doesn't flip over truth be told.
@devastator1991 Name any FWD car that goes sideways when pushed too hard?! Get a clue before you post up crap.
This is NOT a realistic racing physics game, you would know this if you had a licence and any racing experience, but that I expect is still years away for you considering you're probably peeing your pants about having to go to high school next year.

6 Like As I'm not required to solely use gamespot to view games content, so I will go elsewhere until they disable to AdBlock-Blocker. Being forced to watch advertisements before a video is more morally wrong than blocking the ad.
The more ads that appear on a site, the more likely people will stop using it. Adblock is 'hurtful' to advertisers and more convenient to users. Take your pick, company advertising on your site, or more users?
@skunkpants I don't get this logic either.
Having ad's on the side is unobtrusive and it works, I occasionally click on them or just ignore them. But blocking out the ad if you use adblocker? I'm not touching the video. You've lost a decent amount of views Gamespot.
