Creative director Keiichiro Toyama takes us through the Tokyo Game Show demo of Gravity Daze, straight from a tiny boat in Tokyo!
The whole gravity change looks cool but I wonder what happens to the other people when you do that. There will have to be at least three games that I want to make it worth getting a vita, this might be the first one.
"combat looks boring and easy" It's the intro tutorial for basic moves, it's not supposed to be difficult and you gain new powers as the game continues. See the official Japanese site for more powers like the Gravity Slide (Vanquish style slide), Gravity Grab (pick up and throw objects from the environment) and Arts (a big combo attack between a group of enemies). The game also has RPG levelling of abilities and sidemissions started by talking to regular NPC's with speech bubbles above their heads.
game looks awesome.
It's just too bad the combat looks boring and easy, other than that it looks a great game with amazing graphics, interesting gravity mechanics, stylised visuals and an interesting setting. Will have to see how the story goes but can't complain at what I don't know. Overall it's the most interesting game on the Vita for me. Oh and please don't be so immature as to downvote me for having one negative comment with 4 positive :/
Awesome can't wait!!
Some gameplay mechanics borrowed from Mario Galaxy
wow, this game looks fantastic. I think the vita is going to be very good for folks who like Japanese games.
awesome
Best new game of TGS.
looks amazing and its on a console
the graphics are good, but ill buy it once it is on its peak
this is a big step forward for handhelds
graphics are killer good a whole lot better than the 3ds hope they get a lot of sales I want to see a bunch of great games come out RPGs pleeeze
Does any one know if you can use the motion controls to control the camera while you are walking?
Wow not only am I extremely impressed at how amazing the graphics look but the game looks awesome as well! A must buy for me! Edit: F@#$ I just found out the PSVITA is delayed till early 2012 for EU and NA! THAT'S SUCKS SO HARD!!!!
I don't think I've seen a more powerful handheld. No offense to anything 3D, but is the way to go, this is a legitimate step forward. I really want a Vita now.
Absolutely gorgeous! They sold me with the pseudo 3-D comic panels.
Beautiful game *o*
they are doing this during lunch time?
this looks awesome!
this game has a really cool gameplay idea and character design looks great too
This game looks great on the pspvita its gonna be one of my must buys for this console on launch day right along with wipeout.
Sony's really done a good job at bringing a variety of games to the Vita. We got the 'big budget' games like Resistance, Little Big Planet, and Uncharted. Some old favs like Wipeout and Hot Shots. And then some quirkier Japanese games like this one.
this game is my killer app from PS Vita
1st boss fight footage. Looks great.
