Gravity Rush is one revolutionary game for sure. Manipulating gravity is just simply fun and addictive. It is perfectly developed in almost every aspect of gravity control.

To keep this simple, I'll just talk about the good stuff in this game and what's holding it back from getting the 10, in my opinion at least.

Why this game is a must get:

1/ Manipulating gravity is perfect. When you shift gravity upside down, you would see everything with great details. It is obvious that the developers designed opposite versions of the cities from the scratch and matched it perfectly with what you see with normal gravity so that when you shift upside down, it's really upside down! The same goes with when shifting towards the right/left. It is just perfect. I sometimes mess around with it and waste time wandering around the cities while controlling gravity. It's so indulging!
2/ Awesome graphics and scenes. The graphics pretty much resembles Okami in terms of being cartoon/manga like, which makes it very attractive and beautiful to watch. The comic cut-scenes are fun to read and the soundtrack could be addictive (the theme of the first city is playing in my mind right now)
3/ Great story. Filled with mystery. You will always want to know more about Ka (the protagonist), her past and why she has rivals.
4/ There are challenges (not story related) to beat. This will make you play the game more after completing it. Some of them are pretty challenging.
5/ You can upgrade the powers of Kat with the gems you collect
6/ There are some hidden (not story-related) stuff to beat/find out, which will also make you wanna play more after beating it. Good for trophy collecting.

Why I gave it an 8/10:

1/The combat part isn't really that deep. You kinda have the same set of moves and you won't gain any (except for the special moves that require some certain type of energy). However, this doesn't mean that fighting is boring! It's still fun with the gravity aspect.
2/ There is some mixed feelings about the length of the missions and the game itself. I felt that the missions should've been a bit longer with more events happening. Although there is a lot to do after beating the story.
3/ *this could be a SPOILER* There are some stuff about the story that weren't explained and should've been. They will probably release another Gravity Rush for this or perhaps those unexplained stuff will be answered in the upcoming DLCs.

Nevertheless, when it comes to entertainment, this game gets a 9/10 but when you think about the fighting part of this game, you will probably say it could have been perfect with an in-depth combat and more moves and combos to perform. The game is enjoyable enough to make you bear getting the Platinum trophy and buying the DLCs.
