High strategy, easy to start and stop, fun single player, endless possibilities for online play. Main concern is it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of publicity meaning it will most likely fall between the cracks of more flashy RTS and RPGs. It's also a 2-D game which may or may not account for the lack widespread interest. Very clean interface with lots of options and information about the ship systems. Another perk is it allows many variations of the same ship hull(Fighter, Frigate, Cruiser) meaning you could have missile ships, energy weapon cruiser hunters, point defense ships , EMP frigates,etc.

Good game if you like science fiction space battles.
Similar to old-school turn by turn games. The difference is once you setup the fleet with shields,power supplies, armor, offensive and defensive weapons & then place the types of ships you created in a formation of you choosing; the battle flows from beginning to end without any additional inputs. During the battle you can focus on ships in your fleet, watch them destroy enemy vessels and take on damage. A percentage of success is in both the enemy and your top toolbar, this is a good indicator of how the battle is going and if you need to surrender before losing all of your ships.

Also a good game if you get tired of right clicking your mouse to have characters/fleet attack or perform actions. Just sit back and watch your creation do its thing.
