Don't pay much attention to people's complaints on this game. This's a 2-disc RPG, and it is a high quality product. You'll see the developers' devotion put in making the game. Combat is the most beautiful to watch of all PS2's RPGs, in my opinion. In brief, this game could be one of the best RPG games on PS2 generation.
