DJ Boy holds up well with satisfying core gameplay, but a hugely punishing level of difficulty makes DJ Boy suffer.

DJ Boy is one of those games that had tremendous potential. DJ Boy is one of those games that has all the makings of a classic title. DJ Boy has satisisfying core gameplay. The funcionality of the gameplay is surprsingly fun, and has fond nastolgia of classic beat em ups like the TMNT arcade game. DJ Boy holds up well with its satisfying core gameplay, but a hugely punishing level of difficulty and a lack of depth makes DJ Boy fall short of it's classic status.

DJ Boy is a side scrolling beat em up partially based on hip hop American cities. The music is generic, but does mgo well with the modern day flow of the levels in DJ Boy. DJ Boy does have a design that is lackluster and sadly very generic level design that lacks any form of colour or spark. DJ Boy is bland to see as it is to play.

DJ Boy has a punishing level of difficulty, with the fact that you are only given one life and when you loose you have to start the whole game again. The difficulty in DJ Boy is widely unbalanced, and largely punishing, sucking all the potential fun that this game could've had.

Overall, DJ Boy is a game that was halfway there to garner a cult classic status, but is unbalanced gameplay offset makes DJ Boy fall.
