i miss my SCPH-30001 R PlayStation®2. this game is what we usually play with my friends especially on an overnight drinking sessions.

Bleh you should have put the cannon aim backwards and hold the shoot button and pedal to the metal and you would have a flying rhino tank.

@senator990 agreed Mafia: The Lost City of New Heaven was SO much better than gta 3. Vice city was where I really started 2 like the 3d gta games.

Trying to drive normally obeying traffic likes then next minute driving in a tank with full stars, more tanks and helicopters chasing you o ye and bangin pros then killing them for your money back haha.

first GTA i bought, had so much fun back then lol

Driving down the street in the tank firing the turret backwards using the recoil to gain super speeds and hit cars making them launch while performing jumps further than any car. That was always good for a laugh:)

i admit that new GTA series has a better gameplay but GTA III will always be one of my favorite games.

@couly, sorry to break the news to you, but framerate issues have existed for as long as PC gaming has existed.

i remember this game, last mission is very tough.

i hope they do HD remakes of 3, vice city and san andreas for console everyone get the IOS version so they know theres money in it then will definitely remake them, it would be the best remake box ever... except for ICO and Shadows...

They didn't cover firing rockets at the planes. If you got the timing just right there would be a massive explosion, the screen would go white and you'd have instant 6 stars!!

best and fast gta, 4 part is too slow bugged and eat lots of pc resources and not look much better

hehe "i hock up this prostitute" and shes gonna die...oh no they are talking about taxes :D. ahah you drain now beach you drain. That part made me laugh so hard cause i was doing the same crap to but after i finish with her i shot or drive over her. also that "black hawk down" is the one of the craziest thing ever in this game...man that crazy. what memories, awww thous days....

Flying the tanks.

One of my top 5. I still pick it up once in awhile, and an playing through it again. One of my favourite things to do is stand on the top step of the football arena, with all the weapons and just shoot on the pedestrians, police, cars below, then shoot the helicopter and keep going until I die.

I was 12 when I bought this game at KBtoys, with money I got from my bday, this game was amazingly fun! I had GTA2 in Dreamcast and I spent hours and hours playing it,GTA3 revolutionised sandbox games, I remember my mom yelling at me 'cause I killed someone with my shotgun or ran over a prostitute or a pedestrian hahaha good tiiimes good times! And then Vice City came and she loved the 80's soundtrack, but the yelling kept on going if billie jeans wasn't playing lol! And then came San Andreas for me that has been the best GTA ever made yet, it had so much stuff to do it was amazing I hope Rockstar remake GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas in HD soon!

The best thing about sandbox games is the sandbox part. I didn't any details on how good the story was. Everyone loves going crazy, I know I do. :P

Damn I'll always remember reaching six stars in Liberty City Stories and taking in the awesome sights of a tank rolling down the street.
