I don't know why everybody can even think for a second that these screens and trailers are coming from a ps3 or xbox 360 . there is simply no way in hell to have that level of details on current gen. what the GameSpot guys have played is not what we are seeing here. hence why Rockstar announced there won't be any demos at E3 for ps3 or Xbox 360 of GTA V. people need to wake up.
I don't get why R* doesn't just release these videos for us instead. Why do they leave it up to these people to describe it?
I heard on "watch dog" commentary that PS4 will offer graphical depth and little more detail and that will be all ! I can live with what I have seen for PS3 so this is not any issue with me! looking good to me on PS3 ! CAN YOU DIG IIIIIIIIIIIT ?

They haven't told you yet but GTA V is actually RENOUNCING violence and urges other previously violent games to do this in the 21st century. It's true. It's almost obvious that Grand Theft Auto 5 will come in two flavors: One flavor will be the version as designed for current generation consoles. The second flavor will be an uber-enhanced version upgraded for next generation consoles; Specifically: The PS4 and Xbox 720. I am quite certain this is the reason for the delay.
The question is moot considering no one actually knows anything about next gen, so, there's not much to forget. On top of that there won't be any games for next console gen for a while after release (AC4 doesn't count)

No, I will not forget about Next Gen but I will enjoy the hell out of GTA V on my Launch PS3. I love great graphics but when you started gaming when Pong was new you enjoy gaming on everything.
If I'm not mistaken, those aim assist options where in RDR too. I just hope that they completely take out aim assist from the multiplayer, to the point where it isn't a game option.
I do think GTA V will make me temporarily forget about next gen, so will Beyond two souls.

1 Like @SkylabOne Most people care about graphics. Who are you kidding? They're not everything though, that is true but to say "who cares" is pretty ridiculous since everyone cares to an extent including you. If this game were to offer the worst graphics on the 360 then you would care.
@ChuckLinasty I just finished Grim Fandango, playing it again since its release in 1998. This is one of my favourite games and the graphics are crap by today's standards.
To me, gameplay is a decisive factor in choosing a game. Always. Graphics not. Never.
Maybe you have heard of a little game called Minecraft, probably featuring the worst graphics on 360, still it is immensely successful.
sony has already given me reason to wait on getting ps4 when they announced gt6 for ps3 so that answers yes

You can disable the auto-aim feature in GTA4. Is that why you think that the shooting mechanics in GTA4 sucked? Because before I realized that you can disable the auto-aim feature, I also thought the shooting mechanics sucked. There's no challenge with auto-aim enabled. Makes the whole game boring.
1 Like @ronaldmcreagan without auto aim it sucks with auto aim it's a million times worse ,my biggest beef was the cover system .I'm even fine with the blind fire it's supposed to be inaccurate ,it was the fact that when you aimed from cover it never shot where you were aiming.

i watched the gta videos in the ps3 store and they didnt look spectacular, really not a huge improvement compared to something like battlefield
@MelodicMizery Frostbite 2 doesn't even look good unless it's some of the DLC maps like that one with the farms. It has nice graphics but they're really not that important especially when you spend your time ADS.

So much more important questions could be asked, like how do the 3 characters interact in the gameworld, can you recruit them? Converse with them, kill them?
How does the system work?
And could you fly airplanes?
