Close to perfect but....

Grand Theft Auto 5 is close to perfect but...... its not. The Online gameplay is quite broken and a clear set up for monetization in a free to play manner. The bad out of the way, this game really shines in the single player gameplay. Its superb, engrossing, and the scripted moments are impeccably timed. Its a game to be reckoned with and one of the best games I have ever played. It has RPG lite aspects as you slowly level up your player character whether its Michael, Franklin or Trevor. And switching between characters is easy and fun as each character has his weaknesses and personality. Trevor is a very vulgar ex-military type that hates society, and generally everything and everyone. Michael is more similar to a character you'd see in a Martin Scorcese-style movie and Franklin is a cliched african american living in a Compton like gangster ridden neighborhood. Stereotypes aside, Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the best written games I have ever played and the entire game is a glimpse at what next generation online games will be expected to look and play like.
