Sighs, seeing scores like this depresses me. This game is NOT the messiah. Its an update to a very good game yes, but it doesnt address the issues we had with the previous version, so how can that be seen as progress? It has a shocking framerate with a draw distance set really close. Never before has a game required your PS2 to be in pristine condition as a slightly dodgy laser causes you to drive into untextured areas as the deck tries to catch up. Come on.. that doesnt deserve a 10!! Now i am not saying its a bad game, not in the slightest, its VERY good, it has many new features, more sub games, an after thought of a 2 player section. However its STILL just an update to the previous title. It has one of the worst cameras i've seen in a long time, many a time i've completely gotten the camera stuck and had my character just fill the screen whilst i am trying to do something critical and then fail because of it. I am sure most of the scores given by people on here are truly based on the hype rather then an actual valid `playthrough` of the game. Cos I guarentee that once the initial hour has been played and people start to realise how shallow the game really is, and that all the extras are just bolted on without really adding much to the experience, then the 10's will fall to 8's etc. As i said at the beginning, this is truly and example of hype over content. Rent it, get the cheats, enjoy it, then return it.
