Grand Theft Auto IV is a really stunning game!!!!

- The Bottom Line:
- "Just plain fun"
At first I was a stuck on whether or not to get this game, as the Grand Theft Auto series has a reputation for being very violent, but this game doesn't have to be violent. Yes, it can be a "shoot everyone that you see" game, but it can be a racing game, flying game or jumping out of a helicopter with a parachute on game. There is just so much you can do on this game.
If I analyse every single thing about the game I will be here for hours so I'm going to keep it slightly simple. To start with, the gameplay is great. Controls are neat so even the worst of game racersshooters will get the hang of it. On the other hand the graphics are slightly lacking sharpness now, but give the game credit over the fact that it is almost 5 years old now.
The location is fantastic and with different sorts of weather and day and night, you can get a different perspective of Liberty City. This occurs especially at night and the roads are wet, as the bridges that link the 3 major islands together glow magically. There is so much you can do in the city as well. Like taking a friend to play golf, blowing, darts, air hockey or go to a cabaret club and get drunk. There is also a strip club for entrainment. In the 'City Centre', there is also a comedy club and places dotted around where you can stock up on weapons. There are tours of the city as well and places to eat. Liberty City really is spectacular!
Multiplayer is also very popular. Personally is doesn't entertain me as much as others (as I just like to do my own thing), but from the view of many people, it very entertaining where you can have endless hours of fun.
The plot of the story is basically this; Niko Bellic (person you play as) moves to Liberty City to live with his cousin, Roman Bellic, who has lived there for 10 years. They both come from Russia and Niko knows some very powerful Russian people, some of which are gangsters, who he doesn't always get along with. This can often put Niko and Roman into dangerous, if not life threatening situations.
There is not a huge variety in cars (something that I would like to see more of in GTA V), which was slightly disappointing. There are also helicopters, lorries, boats and bikes.
Overall, the game is very entertaining, especially when cheats are added. The graphics are okay but multiplayer gives you endless hours of fun. The range of cars was disappointing and the missions can often get boring after messing up at part of the mission, this often leads to great frustration. But don't let the negatives swallow the positives, as the positives are a lot more positive than the negatives are negative (if you know what I mean). GREAT GAME!!!!!!

Grand Theft Auto sports a great story... but I feel that the gameplay has a few crippling flaws that hold it back.
