I was skeptical but, once I played it I was pleasantly surprised.

User Rating: 9.5 | Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars DS
I purchased this game with my DSi so it was my first game for the system. I was pretty skeptical about this game. I thought it would be a watered down version of all the other GTA games but, I was wrong. Somehow Rockstar has managed to cram most of the GTA4 Liberty City into a DS cartridge. It really still feels like GTA. The graphics aren't great but, the gameplay and open world-feel feels the same. If anything they added to the series. It has many touch screen mini games that are used to break into cars, assemble sniper rifles, do drug deals, make tattoos, scratch lottery tickets and more. I like really like how you can replay missions. The story line is pretty decent. The missions are of average to long length. There are a decent amount of main story missions but I felt they should have added more. The non-story missions are pretty much what you would expect. There are extra racing missions, vigilante missions, firefigher missions, paramedic missions, and of course taxi missions. Overall, GTA: Chinatown Wars is a surprisingly fun and groundbreaking game and an absolute must-have for anyone who owns a DS.
