I'm at work right now opening the shipment. The first box was from Rockstar, and it was a Chinese take out box of fortune cookies full of Uncle Wu's wisdom.

I'm so stoked for this game, and seeing a little Chinese take out box was pretty funny. Just thought I'd share.

sorry for confusion, i typed my first post on my phone while at work.

Rockstar sent a Chinese food take-out box full of fortune cookies. Each one has a quote from Uncle Wu as the fortune, and they were kind of stale.

We didn't get the game in 2 weeks early, which I guess it kind of sounded like i was saying at first. oops.

YOu may think those are fortune cookies, but it is actually a compilation of w**pons secretly sent to the Chinatown undergound - The NotoriousMSG

I have to say this: I think Gamestop is the devil.

However, Rockstar is awesome for sending out some great promotional goodies.

why is Gamestop the devil? sure i know people hate the trade in credit (most $60 games are worth $30 in credit, and resold for $55 in the store), but the easy solution to that is not trading games in at Gamestop.

sell games on ebay or to a friend. or trade them in at Blockbuster or Game Crazy, each of which generally give about $5 more per game.

only difference is that Gamestop has sweet promotions for bulk trade ins. currently if you trade in 6 games, you get an extra 40%. if you have an Edge Card, that's another 10%. if your games were worth only $100 at Gamestop, you could still leave there with $150.

also, the trade in policy is EXACTLY the same as buying a car. you drive a $20,000 car off the lot, and it's resell value is immediately halved.

if there are any other reasons why Gamestop is the devil, let me know

^^^Well maybe car dealerships are the devil too.

Gamestop rocks, this whole "it's cool to hate gamestop" thing is crap. Especially when it's one of the few major chains that cater to everything gaming.

Or buy them when they're a year old. Lol

Hating Gamestop purely based on them reselling trade-ins for at a high mark-up is plain stupidity. Marking things up is how businesses make money.

I work for a small business and see things come in the door at $20 and leave at $100. It's the way the world works.

I would like to say that was one of the best boxes of shipment Ive ever opened. Ate them all that day too!

resale value of a car off the lot is not halved lol. You might immediatly lose about 10-25% if you try to resell as soon as you buy. I know bc I made a mistake buying and found out the hard way.

I work at EB in Burnaby BC! My store is way better than the Gamestop's in the states! We have better promotions IMO as well. The only thing I dont like is that the states get all bonuses and whatever is leftover gets sent to Canada. But my store is still getting bonuses for this game
