This is my review for Gran Turismo for PSP.
Overall: 8/10
Graphics: 9/10
Gameplay: 7/10
Value: 9/10
Replay value: 7/10
Graphics:
This game is really good looking for the PSP. This is the only game on my PSP since WipEout Pulse that looks very good.
Also there is a steady frame rate and that makes the graphics package almost complete.
Gameplay:
The gameplay of the game is quite good, but with some sharp edges.
As said by many reviewers before me, indeed it's really bad that there isn't any career mode. I have played every Gran Turismo up to date, and the thing that I loved most was of course, the career mode. Why? Because the whole gameplay was built for career. You earn cars, you use the cars for certain races, and that makes you money. So I end up for the next point, and that is the usage of cars. The lack of a career mode isn't just disappointing, but also changes a number of factors. The career mode for the original gran turismo titles made many cars useful. Because no one would like to race a Daihatsu Copen, the original gran turismo made a Lightweight cup, so that you can put the Daihatsu Copen to real use.
Gran Turismo for PSP does not.
But the original gameplay of Gran turismo for PSP is quite good, because the races are well made, the AI is quite fair and all the cars have their own sound and handling.
Also the game features challenges.
I had much fun doing these challenges, and to win all of them isn't too easy or hard. But if you want to finish all of the challenges with a gold medal, I really wish you luck! Because the gold medal challenges are really hard to get.
Value:
I bought this game for 20 Euros, and I've been playing it quite long.
Replay value:
Now 20 Euros is a good deal, but the Replay value isn't perfect.
If you are a real race fanatic, you will keep playing the arcade races and you''ll be collecting cars all the time.
But there is a certain risk. The game's challenges (about 102) are fun to do, but if you have finished them all, you might feel like the game is over. The arcade races will keep providing you money, but will bore eventually because the variation (mostly from the challenges) is gone.
Thank you for reading my review.

Fantastic game. One that should be on every racer's list. Superb gameplay. Despite no career, it will not disapoint you.

This is MY opinion of which games are great this is not a fact-sheet :-) Im also well aware that some of the games on my list have seen sequels released but remember sometimes the first game was the most unique.Posted Oct 10, 2010
