Lots of cars, not much racing.

I bought this game thinking it would be the best PSP racing game it unfortunately falls far short in that category. The game has about 800 or more cars but like GT4 most are low horsepower lemons. There are some pretty nice cars like the 2008 Ferrari F1 car and lots of LeMans prototypes and GT cars and some nice rally cars as well. When it comes to buying cars only one car is unlocked when you start the game and you choose most of, if not all of the cars you unlock. One negative is that only 4 dealerships are open each day in the game so waiting for the right vehicle can be annoying. But for the most part you can build up your car collection with whatever you want.

The cars are pretty good but the racing is another thing. Like Gran Turismo 4 this game has a large number of challenges to complete. It's not exactly the license challenge but it is similar. The game's biggest problem is that unlike GT4 there is no career mode in this game. Only the driving challenges and single races. There are no points championships or anything like that. So once you're done with the challenges the only thing to do to earn money is win in the single race mode and multiplayer mode. The track selection is nice, and includes most of the tracks from GT4, but it gets very repetitive fast. If there weren't so many cars to buy the game would be over pretty quick. Overall I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by this game. The game has tons of cars but there just isn't enough racing.
