PlayStation 3 Version 3.0 Video Feature (PlayStation 3)

The new version of PS3 the V3.0 some times the game NFS Shift Freezes to i mean not freeze it don't move, it move but in Slow Motion :( and it kinda annoing me. :( Any one encounter this problem on their PS3 V3.o??

I like update 3.0. Not as major as I had hoped but some good new features all the same

3dmetrius, does you PS3 has that TV icon? Because I don't have it here in my PS3. I'm from brazil too...

I really don't like how now i can't listen to music while i browse the XMB. usually i like to listen to my music when i'm waiting for a download or when i browse on the internet. but with this update i cant do that anymore. this sucks.

i like 3.00, all but the lack of the ps3 logo at the start of the games is fine with me, not to mention the update saved me 150 bucks since it somehow fixed the my ps3's being not able to read discs

3.00 is rubbish. Uuurgh! It contradicts other updates that we were begging for to begin with. My PS3 is goin out the window today

lol apparently sony didnt notice that 3.0 screwed with basically every game on the system that i know of... that got really annoying any1 else notice that this was a uk podcast?

Whoever had problems with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune with XrossMediaBar v3.00 this is news for you unless you already know; XMB v3.01 is out, you can update it by going in the [Settings] -section, then clicking [System Update.] The new 3.01 is said to fix all the freezing -issues Uncharted had with XMB 3.00. It probably fixed a lot of other ingame issues as well, so check it out.

i didn't like the new aesthetic features at first (larger font, PS Store icons, no PS3 "ping" when starting games, blur, new friends list), but i've gotten over it after a while. i still wish they made these aestethic features optional.

i played uncharted and finished it without any freezes on this upgrade, twice! and got all the trophys! you guys just got unlucky

Is this update standard on all the new PS3s or do you have to update it once you get??

Pretty good update- cleans things up a bit, and the links to the PSN are a blessing. I feel bad for anybody who is playing Uncharted right now, though.

I liked the update! Sure there's still stuff that Sony needs to work on, like voice chat, and improve PSN a bit, but it is all a working progress. I think Sony is doing a good job!!! Keep up the work Sony :)

I downloaded it, and Resistance 2 now takes about 2 minutes to load but that's it.

Im playing through uncharted again right now, its froze twice but it's nothing a simple restart didnt fix. Not really a major issue that will be fixed soon hopefully.

@ Duke_v2 it wont be stuck like that forever, they will make an update when they find the problem. ive bought too many games this summer so i cant get drakes fortune =( @ Luiz_AF the trophy percentages have also been corrected. platinum is worth less because before, even if you had a couple of trophies left, you would only be on about 80%. after istalling the update, all my percentages went up on each game.

i thought it was just a rumor,the sad truth is you can't even play the game,the menu works fine,but you can't play the actual game (my disc is clean as a mirror with no fingerprints or scratches) i even got discs that have fingerprints such as burnout paradise and i played it to the finish with no problems,they should fix this problem,i have to get that damned gold trophy before uncharted 2 comes out (hope it doesn't freeze too).

I hope Uncharted 2 doesn't freezes...

what's the matter with 3.0? I don't see why so many people are complaining. It's just another update, I didn't expect nothing big. Some things are really better, the XMB takes less time to load when you turn on the PS3 or when you press the PS button, PSN profiles also take less time to load, a lot of things are better. Who cares if some stuff are ugly or if there are no major changes, it's just another update!

God...this should've been the update where aspects of online play and chat where improved. All they did was work on the damn XMB which I feel wasn't that big of an issue to begin with.

I am pretty skeptical of downloading this firmware from what i have heard about the issues regarding uncharted, resistance 2 and the joy pad syncing.

What the?! Thats it? I clicked on this thinking omg 3.0 this is gonna be big! What a complete waste of time and energy spent on this worthless update, should it really be called 3.0? Shouldnt the 3.0s and 4.0s be huge updates not just minor changes to the look of the interface and bugs that cause games to crash? Sigh, better luck next time sony. MS + 1

the update is a complete waste of time. i mean yay my screen is now sparkly and pink! i know you can change the colour but not black? the second ps store tab is pointless and the whats new is just clutter. the iplayer is the only small part of this worthless update.

I like the new update, I dont have Uncharted so it doesnt effect me but its still a shame that it has flaws. I dont see how a theme which it basically is can mess a game up.
