Game guide editor Kurtis Seid gets you started with Gran Turismo 5 with his tips and hints.
The tips here are okay, but not great. Splurging on an Evo IV? Well, there are other good cars out there on the cheap, especially if you don't mind using a standard car from the used car dealership. I got an FTO from used car dealership, was good enough to win any beginner races and even amateur races. Moved on to an R33 GT-R for around 28k at level 6 and dominated from there. However the biggest quirk for this video are his tips for upgrading. Stage 1 chassis upgrade takes off at least 100KG, carbon hood and window take off less than 20KG each, and they aren't that cheap either. Always buy stage 1, wait for later with carbon hood and windows. Intake manifold isn't very efficient for money either, racing filter gives you about as much HP boost on the cheap. Exhaust manifold is also not efficient, catalytic converter is on the other hand. Buying every set of tires... also not a great idea.
Hello guys. I can help you with tips, just ask me. but i also have a question for you guys. Givemethe colour Silver CHROME not metallic or something but CHROME and ill give u a 100,000 - 200,000 credits car. add me : Duman079 ( u can also give me other chrome colours ) U can also join my drift team : All* Drift Team, send me a Personal Message : Duman079. The team drift car is an BMW M3 Coupe 2007, if you dont have it, i will give it to you. So dont wait and join !
im still working on my favorite race ever..the "VW Bus Race around the Top Gear Test Track". Purely Epic...XP
pretty basic tips.. i just got a toyota to start with but never really needed it, don't waste money on buying a starter car, just play the licences first, which will unlock some cars
I didn't bother with upgrades. I started with a Mazda MX 5. Won a few races, bought a Ford Focus RS, won a few races, bought a Skyline GTR Nurburgring edition, won a few races, bought the new Camaro SS, won a few races, bought a Corvette C6...that's pretty much where I'm at now. Each time I have completely annihilated the CPU AI opponents. Next car - McLaren F1. If anyone dares come near I'll save up for the Ferrari formula 1 car. Haha. When I'm done with those races, I can chill and tune a super drift car from a Silvia, Supra or Skyline The game is cool. I just hate those standard cars. they look like they belong in GTA instead of GT.
The Evo took me back to Gran Turismo =P wow how things have changed in the Car List..I especially love the VW Bus Race around the Top Gear Test Track. Now that really made me shut off my ps3, it's bad enough this game loaded slow. Not surprising this only got an 8.0...
i cant find better than you GT5 what ever you are cuz u always the masterpiece of Polyphony Digital.
boo to the evo,not allowed in many races anyway.ps:dont buy the old camaro from transformers,i bought every upgrade and the chevelle ss (torana) with custom exhaust has same horsepower!!!!
If you already have a friend who's been playing this game, ask him to send you one of his cars as gift! I just bought this game today (it is amazing btw) and my pal gifted me a Nissan 350Z. I got to keep my 20,000cr and I dominated most of the events in the beginner series. Good luck and happy gaming!
here's another tip....stay at home playing = quick level-up and buy many stuff! (I wish I could...prrrrrrrrrrr)
These are stupid tips. You can win a ton of races just getting the right tires, flywheel, clutch, intake and exhaust. Just like in real life. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Rubbish tips... Dont buy all types of wheels (waste of money). And basicly just go for the best upgrade parts in transmission, suspension and drivetrain... its worth it.
hey those were really great tips, to bad I started before you posted this. But if you can show tips for the late game that would be very apriciated
