i was going to buy a playstation 3 just for this game but it just doesnt seem that great. I'll just have to stick to Forza on my xbox still.

Yeah I have to admit being a GT5 fan for years... Forza 3 is the better game. It actually has more polish than GT5 and is more fun to play.

@ machew100 It's actually not double it's 150% to render in 3d for this game. I read a couple tech reviews on exactly how and what PD did to optimise the game. Not every component on left and right eye images are rendered twice, only certain key features was deemed necessary.

Damn 6 years in the making and this is the best they can do... Cant wait for Forza 4.

IMO, Polyphony Digital is one of the better developers out there. And honestly GT5 looks like a very good game; however, not 5 years worth. It also seems like PD make some odd design choces in regard to premium and standard cars. And what the hell is up with requiring a 20 digit code to play friends online? Seriously PD, this isn't the Wii.

you do realize that showing a game in 3d requires double the computing horsepower, right... apparently not. to play in 3d you sacrifice quality because of the requirement for 2 images to be rendered instead of one. 60 hz vs 120 hz etc.
