This Audi pushes the damage feature in Gran Turismo 5 to the limit.
people. crashes are important. no1 buys gran turismo for the damage. but that doesnt mean it isnt extremely important. reason: its "the most realistic driving simulator".. crashes happen. they should simulate that in full detail as they would driving physics and graphics. its not destruction derby, but if you are into the game and you crash you will be dissapointed that it doesnt look realistic. theres no argument.
The damage doesn't bother me... The interface, constant load screens and the 1998 style online system are what bug me... As far as driving physics, I have yet to see anything (especially on consoles) come even close to this game...
Why the hell should you have to level up to get decent damage? Shoudn't that be included out of the box?
people this ain't destruction derby it's a racing game point is to race not to smash onto other cars
Its not something to get really fired up about realistic crashes unless thats the whole reason your buying the game.
This isn't GT5's "limits" When you reach level 40, you see bumpers and hoods flying off as well as heavy dents and paint coming off.
To everyone who's disappointed with the damage effects on display here.At level 20 I believe, you unlock basic damage whilst at level 40 you unlock more extensive damage which is more up to the standard you'd expect. Also, polyphony has announced an update is coming very soon to update the damage effects more. Here's a link, soory for the quality: http://gamer.blorge.com/2010/11/27/gran-turismo-5-reviewers-failed-yamauchis-damage-test-incomplete-reviews/ Although this crash isn't high spped you can clearly see from earlier crashes the damage is there.
Why people keep defending GT5 so much in the end we are the customers we pay for the product that PD made do you think they care that you are a fanboy no they care about profit money mooola $$$$$ and not you. GT5 disapointed lots of customers big time, its still good game just not best any more. So to all the fan boys stop defending substandard product and demand improovment that way we can get bater games. 5 years + 60mill = WTF
if you want real damage go and get grid! http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/driving/racedriverone/video/6191707/grid-crash-damage-engine-demonstration?tag=videos%3Btitle%3B5 gt5 damage its lame, but overall gameplay its just awesome
This video is embarrassing. After 5 good times of crashing head-on into the wall at, i'd guess about 60-70mph, at 00:56 the only damage was his bumper and hood were a little dented up. Terrible video.
What did you all expect,Burnout? A game focused on crashes.Burnout-esque crashes in one of the biggest and most realistic racing sims ever aswell as decent visuals and gameplay? The PS3s powerful by console standards but not that powerful.
Is this even the full damage modeling? Or just a bashspot vid? If its full damage modeling then it sucks big time.
